Mumford and Sons – Little Lion Man

The second shot is a close up of a guitar just as the acoustic music starts playing. This ties together the visuals and the sounds of the music video

• The first shot is an establishing shot of where the performance will take place. This sets the tone of the video as we can tell it will be quite rustic because of the wooden stage and lights hanging from the ceiling.

The bands outfits fit with the style of music. It is modern country music. Their outfits are not the latest fashion but are their own style that goes well with their music type.

• When it comes to the lighting, there is a lot of it but in a very dark room so it emphasises the use of very rural lights hanging for all over the room

The close up of all the musical instruments really emphasises the use of their own music and that they make all their own music.

• The shots that show their venue being very big and old show they are into traditional settings. Also, being on stage shoes that they sing live when they do gigs, this is giving the audience a chance to see them live if they cant in real life so it has a personal attachment to the audience.

Jamie T – If you got the money

This music video is a narrative along side a performance. The part of the video that is the narrative is done in slow motion and the performance is done in normal speed.

• The performance by Jamie T, the first shot of it is an extreme close up of his face to show you that it is actually him singing and doing the show.

The narrative is about girlfriends being embarrassed when their boyfriends take them out. The first couple, this man is embarrassing his girl friend by being drunk and dancing. The footage is in slow motion. This really emphasises the embarrassed faces of the girls and the acts that the men are doing to embarrass their partners.

Another couple are outside the chip shop and the man is very drunk and dancing and eventually falls over. The link between the song and the story is about women being embarrassed by their partners and other men coming and saving them from him. The use of slow motion means we can clearly see their emotion about the situations. The video is successful because the people in the video are drunk. Jamie T’s audience are around 18-30 and this is the age when they are all going out drinking. Therefore this video is very relatable to the audience so there is a humorous reliability about it

The link between the narrative and the performance is that Jamie is actually performing in the club where all the people are dancing and the couples are being embarrassed or embarrassing. This live performance shows how Jamie does sing live when he is on stage and doesn't do anything in a fake way. Also it gives the audience a live experience if they have never seen him live.

The band are performing their song throughout and have other people with interesting talents come in. This has a comical value to it because the band are inexperienced in doing these things and are funny to watch when they are trying it.
