PCIM Europe 2016
As the ideal platform for the power electronics community, PCIM Europe 2016 again became
the international meeting point for experts from industry and academia. Specialists used the
communication platform to jointly discuss the latest developments. The exhibition offered its
visitors diverse possibilities to inform themselves comprehensively about the industry's trends.
The application-oriented conference thereby perfectly complemented the exhibition and made
PCIM Europe the internationally most important venue for power electronics.
PCIM Europe is characterized by the intensive and efficient contact between exhibitors
and visitors. Exhibitors, both from Germany and abroad, meet interested, competent visitors
and discuss specific problems at the exhibition.
The numbers speak for themselves
With 436 exhibitors and 93 represented companies, PCIM Europe 2016 was able to further
increase its figures by 5 %, compared to 2015. Also on the visitor side, a clear growth was
registered in 2016. In total, 10,053 visitors found their way to PCIM Europe on the three exhibi-
tion days. In comparison with 2015, this represents an increase of 12 %. The flow of visitors
thereby evenly spread between the three exhibition halls and two entrances. In addition, the
great international importance of PCIM Europe was confirmed again.
The proportion of international exhibitors was at 58 %.

PCIM Europe 2016 Supporting Program
Visitor forums
A presentation platform for research and development topics. With inter-
esting presentations and panel discussions on topics of current interest
for power electronics, the two visitor forums in the exhibition halls are
among the major visitor attractions at PCIM Europe. At the industry forum
in hall 6, experts from industry and academia discussed questions and
challenges, which are moving the sector lately. Whereas at the exhibitor
forum in hall 7, visitors had the opportunity to inform themselves in 20-
minute presentations about the recent developments and product high-
lights of the exhibiting companies.
Jobboard
PCIM Europe 2016 offered its exhibitors the possibility to publish their job
vacancies at the Mesago booth in hall 7 and thereby to win highly
qualified experts from the field of power electronics for the company
directly on-site.
Panel discussion offers prospects in the future of power electronics
For the first time, a panel discussion, freely accessible for conference
attendees, exhibitors and visitors, on “The Smart Future of Power
Electronics” took place in the course of the PCIM Europe 2016
conference. Here, industry experts discussed power electronics in
relation to important future-oriented topics, analyzed industry specific
challenges of industry 4.0 and thereby granted interesting insights and
impulses in this significant issue.
Networking in a pleasant atmosphere
At the evening of the first exhibition day, Mesago PCIM GmbH invited
exhibitors, speakers and conference attendees for the traditional
exhibition party. At the party, the power electronics community was able
to enjoy a delightful evening in pleasant atmosphere with culinary
delicacies and live music, whilst having a relaxed exchange with other
industry experts.
