The inductive proximity sensors are electronic devices able to detect theapproach of metal parts, components, machine elements, etc.The detection occurs without any physical contact between the sensorand actuator, increasing the life of the sensor by not having movingparts subject to mechanical wear. The sensors of the PA line have 4 to 20mA analog output that isproportional to the distance detected (dist. min: 4mA and max: 20mA)and can be connected directly to CLP.

What is analogic output sensor? Are sensors which have a current generator and whose function is togenerate an output that varies with the distance of the actuatorelement.
How to turn the load and meter on?The load must have a maximum impedance 400W, so that the average linearity is maintained within specifications.
Graphic Current x Sensor Distance:
SignallingSensors with cable connection have the rear fully illuminated in green, allowing visualization of sensor operation, even over long distances, since models with micro connector has four microleds, also in green.
Connections:The sensors are available with analog output cable with 3 wires or M12connector - 4 pins
Sensing Face:It is the surface the electromagnetic fields emerges from.
Sensor Distance (S):It is the distance at which, when approaching the sensing face of theactuator, the sensor switches the output state. The actuation distance is due to the coil size. Thus, the sensor distance and the sensor sizecannot be simultaneously specified.
Nominal Sensor Distance (Rated Sn):It is the theoretical sensor distance, which uses a Standard Target as atrigger and does not consider variations caused by industrialization,Operating Temperature and Supply Voltage. It is the amount in whichthe proximity sensors are specified.
L=D (if 3xSn < D) orL=3xSn (if 3xSn>D)Sn - nominal sensor distanceD - Diameter of the area where theelectromagnetic field emerges from.
Assured Sensor Distance (Assured Sa):It is the sensor distance at which one can safely operate, considering all the variations of industrialization, temperature and operating voltage:
Sa £ 72% Sn
Standard Target (50010 Standard):It is a normalized actuator used to calibrate a nominal distance sensorduring the sensor manufacturing process.
Actuator Material:The operational sensor distancealso ranges with the type of metal,or is specified for the Iron and Steelor needs to be multiplied by areduction factor .
Hysteresis:The difference between actuation point (when the metal targetapproaches the sensor face) and the point of disengagement (when the target moves away from the sensor). This value is important because itensures a difference between the trigger point and disengagement .
Built-in :This type of sensor has the electromagnetic field emerging from thesensor face and only allows it to be mounted on a metallic surface.

General Precautions:Connection Cable :Prevent the cable connecting the sensor is subjected to any mechanical stress.
Oscillation:As the sensors have resin, they can be used in machines withmovements, only by fixating the cable together with the sensor throughclamps, allowing only the middle of the cable to oscillate.
Fixing Bracket:Prevent the sensor from suffering impacts with other parts or piecesand not be used as support.
Moving Parts:During installation, carefully observe the sensor distance and position, thus avoiding impacts to the actuator.
Fixing Nuts:Avoid over-tightening the fixing nuts.
Chemical Products:In installations in harsh environments, we suggest contacting ourtechnical dept, to specify the most suitable sensor for the application.
Environmental Conditions:avoid subjecting the sensor to ambient conditions with operatingtemperature above the sensor limits.
