9th November, 2017 Message from the Principal Dear parents, staff and students, Pupil free day Parents are reminded that Friday 17th November is a Pupil Free Day as staff will be undertaking professional development. Please ensure that you make suitable care arrangements for your child. Please note that Camp Australia will not be operating on this day. Swimming Well done to all our students who took part in In-term swimming in Weeks 3 and 4 this term. I was very impressed by the gains that they all made and they are to be commended on their behaviour. A special thank you to Mr Maidens for co-ordinating the swimming program. School Requirements 2018 Requirements lists for next year were sent home earlier this week. If you are ordering through Ziggies, forms and payment are due back to school by Friday 1st December. Payment can be made in cash, credit card, cheque (made to East Beechboro P&C) or by direct deposit (bank details on requirements form). Please ensure that you read the lists carefully and follow the appropriate payment instructions. Parents who have paid their child’s 2018 contribution are reminded to cross this off the requirements list to prevent double payment. Student packs will be available for pick up from the undercover area on Monday 29th January 2018 between 9am and 11.30am. Thank you to our wonderful P&C who will be coordinating this massive task. The school will receive a percentage of all orders placed through Ziggies for the benefit of the P&C and all our students. 2018 Uniform Orders Parents are reminded that uniform orders for next year are due with payment no later than Thursday 16th November. Parents requiring uniforms for the start of the year who have not placed an order are not guaranteed that there will be stock available. Uniform orders will be made available at the start of Term 1 next year. Electronic delivery of Semester 2 Reports Parents are reminded that they have the option of receiving their child’s report via email. This form of delivery is not only fast but also provides the opportunity to send to more than one parent/guardian and enables parents to retain a digital record of student achievement. Parents opting to receive reports via email will be sent a report link directing them to their child’s report. This link will stay active for four weeks. Semester 2 reports will be ready for issuing in the last week of this term. If you did not receive your child’s report via email in Semester 1 and would like to receive your child’s report via this method, please complete the details below and return to the school no later than Friday 1st December. Parents who requested electronic delivery of their child’s report in Semester 1 will automatically receive the Semester 2 report via email. Those who have not requested email delivery will be issued a paper copy. This will occur on Monday 20th November, however although orders should arrive before the end of term, this cannot be guaranteed.
