OBJECTIVES
To collaborate with the CPWD multi-professional work stream to understand the CPD needs of the psychological professions workforce, current uptake and perceived barriers to accessing NHS funded CPD.
To raise awareness of clinicians and managers of existing NHS funded CPD opportunities, and optimising the use of individual performance review.
To promote understanding of the CPD needs of the psychological professions with CPD Leads and increase representation within the key decision-making and planning bodies responsible for CPD provision.
To understand the impact of AQP on access to CPD for those parts of the workforce employed by non-NHS providers.
To work with education providers and CPD Leads to develop recommendations for the development of CPD provision for all sections of the psychological professions workforce.

As the network celebrates its first year of existence we look towards 2015 with a focus on the opportunities for psychological approaches within the public health agenda and examine the meaning of ‘parity of esteem’ for mental health.
