Start your Christmas story hereat Barnsley House.

Christmas with us is a relaxed country house party... Fairytale gardens surround our enchanting house, with beautiful hideaway rooms and suites, a blissful spa, delicious garden-to-plate dining and excellent wines.

We promise roaring fires, curled-up Cotswolds cosiness and ultimate relaxation in extraordinary and magical surroundings.

Christmas Eve It’s time to make the most of this very special country house hideaway… So

curl up and get cosy by a crackling fire, or in the privacy and comfort of your

room. Throughout the afternoon, tea, cake and mince pies will be served

and the Spa will be open until 6.30pm for a little pampering. From 7:00pm,

enjoy glass of Champagne, followed by a delicious dinner prepared by

Chef Francesco and his team. For those who’d like to attend, Midnight Mass

will be held at 11.30pm at nearby St. Mary’s Church in Bibury, with mulled

wine and scrumptious mince pies on your return.

Christmas DayMerry Christmas! Enjoy a Champagne breakfast in The Potager from

7:30am to 9:30am... or stay in your PJ’s, unwrap your presents and order

room service until 11:00am. The Spa will be open from 10:00am to 1:00pm.

(Not for treatments, but all other facilities are available).

Join us at noon in the lounges for a Champagne and canapé reception,

followed by our deliciously indulgent three-course Christmas Day lunch

in the festive atmosphere of The Potager, overlooking the gardens. You

can then relax by the fire, take an afternoon stroll, explore our enchanting

gardens... or just take a nap! Later, there’ll be a relaxed buffet from 7:00pm

in The Potager and we have board games and cards in the lounges if you’d

like to play... or enjoy a night cap before retreating to your lovely room.

Boxing DayDo as much (or as little) as you like. Breakfast will be served in The Potager

from 8:00am to 10:30am... or enjoy and lie-in and breakfast in bed until

11:00am. The Spa will be open between 10:00am and 6:30pm, or if you’re

feeling a little more energetic, explore some nearby idyllic Cotswold villages

and lovely local walks. Later, our cosy Village Pub across the road will be

holding their Boxing Day Pie & Quiz evening!

Christmas Programme 2019

Christmas Tariff 2019 Prices for the Christmas programme are based on double occupancy,

arriving on Tuesday 24th December and departing after breakfast on

Friday 27th December. Prices include three nights’ accommodation*,

Champagne on arrival, Afternoon Tea and a three-course à la carte

dinner on Christmas Eve, Champagne and canapé reception followed

by a three-course Christmas Day lunch, buffet dinner Christmas Day

night, an informal pie and quiz night at The Village Pub on Boxing Day,

full English breakfast each morning, as well as service and VAT.

New YearA MAGICAL

New Year’s EveHidden away in our magical gardens, the Spa will be open from 9:00am

to 6.00pm for some pre-party pampering. You can stroll around our world-

famous gardens designed by Rosemary Verey and then relax by the fire,

or in our atmospheric cocktail bar. Explore the local area (ask us for some

ideas) or Barnsley village... our very own Village Pub is just across the

road if you’d like to sample a the local ale and a bit of community spirit!

When you’re ready to start the festivities, we’d love you to join us in the

Morning Room for a cocktail before your dinner. Then a truly wonderful

feast awaits you, created by our talented Head Chef Francesco and his

team, with many ingredients sourced from our own gardens and locally.

There will be a Scottish piper during the course of the evening to set the

mood and Champagne on the house at midnight, when we welcome 2020!

After dinner, make your way to the lounge and you will find some casino

tables and a magician waiting to entertain you!

New Year’s DayA very Happy New Year! Breakfast will be served in The Potager between

7.30am and 10.30am... or if you prefer to hideaway after the festivities of

the night before, it can be served there until 11:00am. The Spa will be open

from 10:00am to 6.30pm, where you can choose from a variety of deeply

relaxing treatments after your late night!

If you haven’t already, do take a walk around the gardens or the village and

perhaps enjoy a delicious Afternoon Tea, with chef’s freshly-baked treats

by the fire afterwards.

New Year Programme 2019

New Year Tariff 2019 Prices for the New Year programme are based on double occupancy.

Prices include two nights accommodation*, a pre-dinner cocktail reception,

a four-course celebratory New Year’s Eve dinner in The Potager, a glass

of Champagne at midnight, a three-course à la carte dinner on New Year’s

Day in The Potager Restaurant or in The Village Pub, full English breakfast

each morning. They also include use of the spa facilities, early morning tea /

coffee, a daily newspaper, service and VAT.

A two-night package is available: Either 30th & 31st Decemberor 31st December & 1st January.
