An Abstract Paper Collage Aim Make a simple abstract collage using a variety of different mark making techniques.

Materials 2 pieces of paper 📝 4 different coloured Drawing tools— eg pencil ✏ , felt tip pen 🖊 , pastel or crayon 🖍 Scissors ✂ Glue - pritt stick, glue stick, Pva or school glue. Process 1. Cover the table with card or newspaper to protect it. 2. Take one of the sheets of paper and fold it in half twice to create 4 quarters. Cut or tear the paper along the folded lines to create 4 smaller pieces of paper.

3. On each small sheet of paper use one of the drawing tools to make different drawing marks on eg. lines, circles, triangles, dense shading, cross hatch etc.

4. Then cut out different shoes from the drawings, eg triangles, strips, circles.

5. Choose a selection of the cut out shapes that you like. 6. On the second piece of paper arrange the shapes into a pattern that you like. 7. Glue the pieces into place to create a collage. 8. If you can take a picture of your creation and share with your friends.
