Community Lit 2019: Murder! This year’s Community Lit offering will explore the concept of murder mystery as a literary genre. What is the appeal of literary depictions of violent crime and by what standards do we, as readers, evaluate a work that holds killing as its subject? How do we make high art out of low crime and what social and cultural role do such texts play in our society? Registration required.

Frequently asked questions

How much do programs cost?All library programs are free!

Must I register for each week of a program?By registering once, you register for all weeks of the program.

Can I register for programs and events at any RWL branch?Yes! You are welcome to sign up for programs and events at any RWL branch.

What programs are parents/caregivers required to participate in?Parents/caregivers are required to participate with their children, five years or younger, in all programs.

When does registration end?Registration is ongoing throughout the session as long as there is space in the program.

Do I have to register myself for programs as a parent/caregiver?Yes! All individuals attending the program, including adults and babies, need to be registered.

There are so many programs! Is there a way to only display my own branch’s programs in the calendar?Yes! You can limit the results to only your branch’s programs.

1. Under Search Criteria find the Location option.

2. Click the drop-down menu to select the branch of your choice.

3. Click the Search button. A list of events related to the selected branch will be listed below.

How do I register for a program?There are three options for registration:

Register online at www.rwlibrary.ca.

Visit any Region of Waterloo Library branch in person.

Phone any Region of Waterloo Library branch.

Please contact any Region of Waterloo Library branch if you have questions about our registration process.

Programs and events are free! Registration begins Tuesday, March 5. Register online, by phone, or in person. Children nine and under must have a parent/caregiver (age 12 or older) remain in the library during programs, events or movies.
