GOAL: So..What is Geocaching? Geocaching is the real-world treasure hunt that's happening all around you. There are 2,295,695 active geocaches and over 6 million geocachers worldwide Geocaching is electronic treasure hunting. “Caches” are hidden in numerous places around the globe. All you need to find them is a smart phone with GPS capability, or a GPS Unit. Check the Apple App Store or Google Play for several free and inexpensive paid geo- caching apps. Most of the caches are stored at www.geocaching.com where you can sign up for access to thousands of caches around the world. You’ll be surprised at how many caches are within a short drive’s distance from where you live! Caches are geared to incorporate some puzzle solving, searching and an electronic version of hide n’ seek. Start today, go to Geocach- ing.com and see if you can find geocaches in your area.
