would like to apologize immensely. This oversight was my mistake as I didn’t notice that the
entire list did not copy over.

Academy Cares
Academy Cares is a new program that allows academy riders to give back, similar to Ride for the Cure.
The difference is that this program is all year and only applies to academy riders. All riders can have
their rides sponsored to raise money for Saint Jude Children’s Hospital. The minimum donation for
each ride can be as little as a $1. Simply fill out the form below and send it in. After each show send in
your donation sheet and all money collected. Totals will be announced at the ASHAV Convention and
an award for the top earner.

CHCosmic Sunfire Wins USEF Cup Incentive Program for American Saddlebred Horses
From the USEF Communications Department
Lexington, Ky. - The United States Equestrian Federation is pleased to announce CHCosmic Sunfire as
the winner of the 2013 USEF Cup Incentive program for the American Saddlebred division. CHCosmic
Sunfire's owner and trainer Judith Ferguson-Gandarillas will receive $1,000 for being owner of the win-
ning horse, and an additional $500 prize that goes to the trainer of the winning horse. Earning top honors in American Saddlebred western and hunter country pleasure classes at USEF Cup
competitions, CHCosmic Sunfire and owner Judith Ferguson-Gandarillas of Hayes, Virginia proved to be
the pair to beat. The USEF Cup Incentive program was started in 2011 to give participants in the American Saddlebred
division a chance to earn points towards an annual incentive award. Owners must be USEF members and
have their horses recorded in their name annually, or for life, to earn points at designated USEF Cup
Competitions. All classes within the Saddlebred division were counted towards this annual award. Individuals interested in participating in the USEF Cup Incentive program for 2014 can record their horse
at https://www.usef.org/documents/membership/2014HorseApplication.pdf.
Designated USEF Cup Competitions will be posted at http://www.usef.org/_IFrames/breedsDisciplines/
breeds/USEFCup.aspx.
Competitions interested in becoming a USEF Cup Competition for 2014 should select the "USEF Cup" box
on their online license renewal form. Competition managers may also email Diana Campbell at dcamp-
[email protected] to have their competitions designated as USEF Cup Competition.
The vision of the United States Equestrian Federation® is to provide leadership for equestrian sport in the United States of America by promoting the pursuit
of excellence from the grassroots to the Olympic Games, based on a foundation of fair, safe competition and the welfare
of its human and equine athletes.
