Instructions for Ordering Repair Parts for.Buda Hand, Push and Velocipede bars _

Clearly specify part or parts wanted by giving the' symbol numberin the list, and state for which type and number of car.

Illustrations are shown for most' of the :repair parts listed iP t:usbook. If you are unable to find in the list such parts as you seem torequire, write us, giving full description and specifications, and we willundoubtedly be able to furnish what you want, providing it is anythingwe have made.

When ordering wheels, axles or pinions be careful to indicatewhether they are straight or taper fit, and whenever possible givedimensions, as the great quantity and variety of cars turned out by us inthe past has led to the use of such a variety of wheels, axles, etc., thatsomething more than the specification °For Hand Car° is necessary forus to fill orders accurately.

It generally facilitates deliveries if, when ordering wheels, you willmake a sketch similar to the one on opposite page, filling in the dimen-sions A, B, C, D and E and say whether or not keyway is wanted. Wewill then know exactly how you want yo~ir wheel bored and hub faced.

Buda Pressed Steel Wheels

The Stength of Buda Pressed Steel Wheels is Apparent

The general design and reinforced features oP the Buda pressed steel

lrheel is shown in this illustration. ,The wheel is spun into shape while hot

so that it comes from the press perfectly true and requires no machine work.

`Ve call special attention to the reinforced tread. Examination of worn

out hand car wheels will show that the wear comes on that part of the tread

where we have arranged our reinforcement—wheels do not wear cut where

the metal bends up into tLe flange. The quickest way to ascertain this

Pact is to examine the scrap heap of old -heels. tiVheels which are rein-

forced at this latter point are not any more durable; in fact they are

weakened because the extra metal is rolled out of the tread, making it

thinner than it otherwise would be.

It will be readily seen that in other wheels when the metal is partly

worn through on the tread they are weakened correspondingly; whereaswith our style of reinforcement the. tread may be worn nearly through andyet be as strong (owing to the double thickness) as other wheels are whennew. Buda wheels have NI. C. B. flange which prevents derailments oncurves and at switches, thus avoiding annoyance and accidents.
