Fri. from 5:30 p.m. 9:30 p.m.) Night School is designed for those students which are unable to comply with SAC rules and expectations during the day. Once all means of redirecting a student to a more positive attitude/behavior has failed, a student will receive written document and will be assigned to the evening program. The evening program will consist of four hours of academic work. The program is not designed for physical training. Slide 6 Night School Parent Shadow Rules The student shall be escorted by a parent or guardian as per registration (drivers license or form of identification is required). NOTE: Under no circumstances will siblings, extended family or friends under the age of 30 be allowed to attend with student without prior consent of SAC principal. The student will be in attendance between 5:30 and 9:30 with a parent. The length of student placement in Level 4 will be 3-, 5-, or 10-day placement depending on the students violation from the day program (Level 1-3). Total assigned days will be at the discretion of the principal. Slide 7 Type of infractions that will warrant level-4 Night School Parent shadow placement will be Fighting or assault (verbal or physical) Possession of drugs or under the influence (as determined by SAC staff) Walking off campus without permission Cursing at Staff Persistent Misbehavior / failure to comply with SAC rules. Excessive absence / tardiness Threat of another student or staff member Lack of academic performance (refusing to complete coursework) in Level 2 or 3 Any other SAC violation that the campus administrator deems necessary to assign student to Level 4 Night School Slide 8 All students need to follow the rules when they register at SAC. Violating these rules may cause the student to go home and may be counted as an absence. 1. Level 4 begins at 5:30 pm and ends at 9:30 pm. Door will close at 5:40. 2.Parent has to accompany student to level 4. Any other person aside from parent requires prior authorization from principal. 3.Drill instructor will let the student know when assigned break is scheduled. Restroom emergencies will be taken into consideration. 4.Classroom disturbance, no productivity and failure to follow rules will result in having the student go home and his day here at SAC will be counted as an absence. 5.Counseling is offered to student on a as needed basis and amount of time is determined by counselor or social worker. Night time rules are the same as day time rules. Lack of uniform will require the student to go home and his day at SAC will not count. 2.No cell phones or pagers are permitted in classroom for both parent and student. No food or drinks are allowed. 3.Parent will assist the student with his/her classroom assignments and assist their student maintaining proper behavior. 4.Parent will sit with student for the entire duration of instruction in classroom. No younger siblings will be allowed. 5.Parents are responsible for picking up the student at 9:30 and they must be on time. Those parents that cant make it on time must pick up the student at Shipley Donuts. 6.Student must complete all assigned Level 4 evenings before he/she returns to Level 1, 2, or 3. The return level is at the discretion of the campus principal. Students not attending Level 4 will receive a Truancy notice.
