    ALUMNI MENTORSHIP PROGRAM GUIDELINES

    OBJECTIVE:

    To provide a formal platform to the final year students to leverage on the vast experience andknowledge of our illustrious alumni base in order to assist them in making well-informed careerchoices.

    PROCESS DETAILS:

    A. ALLOCATION OF MENTORS

    The Alumni Committee shall invite an Expression of Interest from the alumni for registeringthemselves as mentors, via a group email/facebook

    The Alumni Committee will seek the following details from the interested alumni: Name,Current Organization, Designation, Industry, Sub-sector, E-mail, Contact No. etc.

    The Alumni Committee will invite a similar Expression of Interest from the final yearstudents, including their choice of industry and sub-sector.

    Depending on the response received from both the parties, the Alumni Committee will assignalumni mentor(s) to groups of students.

    Each group of students will also be assigned a point of contact from amongst the AlumniCommittee members.

    The student mentees will be required to interact with the assigned mentor(s) in a group, in thepresence of all group members, via phone or over e-mail. The Alumni Committee POC maybe included in the discussion, when required.

    B. ONLINE DISCUSSION FORUM

    The Alumni Committee will maintain an online Mentorship Forum allowing each final yearstudent to have access to all enrolled alumni mentors.

    The students will be granted the permission to post their queries on vertical-specific publicdiscussion forums and receive responses from the alumni.

    ix. The discussion forums will be jointly moderated by the Alumni Committee and the respectiveinterest group. The following interest groups will be moderating the discussion forum specificto their vertical:

    III. ROLE DEFINITIONS

    A.

    ALUMNI COMMITTEE

    The Alumni Committee members will be responsible for allocation of mentors to groups o

    mentees and for joint moderation of the Discussion Forum.

    The POC in charge of each group will be responsible for follow-up with his/her assignedgroup(s) from time to time and for addressing any issues raised.

    B.

    ALUMNI MENTORS

    The Students will contact the allotted Alumni mentors through their preferred mode ofcommunication (phone/e-mail)

    The Alumni mentors shall actively seek to answer students queries raised on theDiscussionForum pertaining to their industry vertical, to the best of their ability and knowledge.

    The Alumni mentors shall inform the Alumni Committee of any misconduct or violation ofnorms by the student mentees. They may also choose to alert the Alumni Committeeregarding disinterest or low participation/interaction shown by their assigned mentee orgroup(s).

    STUDENT MENTEES

    The student mentees are expected to utilize this opportunity to the utmost and proactivelyseek guidance from the assigned Alumni mentor and through the Discussion Forum forindividual queries.

    The student mentees shall ensure that they interact with their assigned mentor(s) on a regularbasis.

    The student mentees shall keep the interest of their entire group in mind during each

    interaction. Every telephonic interaction with the assigned alumni mentor(s) should be done

    in the presence of all group members and every e-mail sent to the assigned alumni mentor(s)shall be CCed to all the group membersas well as the assigned POC.

    In case of any issues, the student mentees are advised to contact their assigned POC.

    D.

    INTEREST GROUPS & KONQUEST

    Alumni Mentorship Program 2011

    The IGs shall prepare an initial set of questions related to their industry and sub-sectorsithin the industry to be raised and answered over the Forum by the alumni.

    Following this initiation, the interest groups will take on a leadership role in moderating thediscussion over the Discussion Forum.

    Disclaimer: In case of any untoward incident reported by the Alumni/Alumni Committeemember/Interest Group/Konquest, the Alumni Committee reserves the right to ban the concernedstudent from any subsequent interaction with alumni.
