TEXT:

Gen. 35:1-7 And God said unto Jacob, Arise, go

up to Beth-el, and dwell there: and make there an altar unto God,who appeared unto thee when thou fleddest from the face of Esauthy brother. 2 Then Jacob said unto his household, and to all thatwere with him, Put away the foreign gods that are among you, andpurify yourselves, and change your garments:3 and let us arise, and go up to Beth-el; and I will make there an

altar unto God, who answered me in the day of my distress, and waswith me in the way which I went. 4 And they gave unto Jacob all theforeign gods which were in their hand, and the rings which were intheir ears; and Jacob hid them under the oak which was byShechem. 5 And they journeyed: and a terror of God was upon thecities that were round about them, and they did not pursue after thesons of Jacob. 6 So Jacob came to Luz, which is in the land of Canaan(the same is Beth-el), he and all the people that were with him. 7And he built there an altar, and called the place El-beth-el; becausethere God was revealed unto him, when he fled from the face of his

brother (ASV)

PROLOGUE:Building an altar had been one of the oldestpractice from the olden days to newgenerations. When man provoked God bywayward and reckless living, He(God) passed‘verdict’ on man, and open the windows ofheaven, there was heavy down pour till everyliving thing(Man, Woman, Domestic and Wild-Animals) died saved only those that foundtheir way into the secret plan of God then;‘The Ark built by Noah’ Gen. 8:1-20

PRAYER POINT:

God of mercy, we ask for your divine illumination at this time to apprehend the very mission of your presence in our lives In Jesus mighty name we pray – Amen!

God remembered Noah and every living thing:

Gen. 8:1-7 ¤ Then God remembered Noah, and every living thing, and all the

animals that were with him in the ark. And God made a wind to pass over the earth, and the waters subsided. 2 The fountains of the deep and the windows of heaven were also stopped, and the rain from heaven was restrained. 3 And the wa ters receded continually from the ear th. At the end of the hundred and fifty days the waters decreased. 4 Then the ark rested in the seventh month, the seventeenth day of the month, on the mountains of Ararat. 5 And the waters decreased continually until the tenth month. In the tenth month, on the first day of the month, the tops of the mountains were seen.

PRAYER POINT: Covenant keeping God, may we found grace, that could help us contextualize the issue of offering at the present age

Noah Built an Altar for A New Beginning!Gen. 8:15 - 20 ¤ Then God spoke to Noah, saying, 16 "Go out of the ark, you and your wife, and your sons

and your sons' wives with you. 17 "Bring out with you every living thing of all flesh that is with you: birds and cattle and every creeping thing that creeps on the earth, so that they may abound on the earth, and be fruitful and multiply on the earth." 18 So Noah went out, and his sons and his wife and his sons' wives with him. 19 Every animal, every creeping thing, every bird, and whatever creeps on the earth, according to their families, went out of the ark. 20 Then Noah built an altar to the LORD, and took of every clean animal and of every clean bird, and offered burnt offerings on the altar.

God Could Not Be Deceived The story about the famous twins, Esau andJacob is almost gaining ground beyond Christendom; other schools of thoughtconsider it good narrative story. Though, we never think of passing judgement againsteither of the twins, rather, it is interesting to discover that both had short comings and,at different levels they were ‘star decision makers’ Now, if we consider them perfectcharacters that could be reflected over to amend our ways or redress foundationalissues that stand like scary scarecrow in our mind oftentimes the memory picks it up.The truth is, such humiliating, degrading, disgraceful and shameful actions or decisionswere absent minded made, as result of immaturity, wrong concept and all that! Attoday, we are changed personality with a new mind and have developed balancedmindset, but only known to deepest part of our heart. This decision was made when itdawn on us that ‘God could not be mocked’ like Apostle Paul; Acts. 9: 5

PRAYER POINT: LORD GRANT ME THE HEART TO LOVE OTHERS LIKE M YSELF

Page 10: Altar For The Lord

And he said, "Who are You, Lord?" Then the Lord said,

"I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting. It is

hard for you to kick against the goads.“ (NKJV)

IT IS HARD FOR YOU TO KICK AGAINST THE POWER OF GOD

Acts. 9:5
