Vinaya Roehrl is a 15 year old pianist. She studies with Svetlana Gorokhovich and started playing the piano at age 8. Vinaya’s musical achievement include playing four times at Carnegie Hall through Concert Festival and AFAF. She also performed at Baruch Hall and Lincoln Center. Furthermore, she was invited to join the Concert Festival Summer Tour three times in a row in Russia and Portugal with a scholarship. In 2014, Vinaya participated in the “Interharmony” Music Festival in Sulzbach-Rosenberg, Germany, where she also performed with chamber groups. In 2016 Vinaya

won Grand Prix Award in Concert Festival Concerto Competition and performed Bach’s Piano Concerto in D minor with Concert Festival Orchestra. In addition to her passion for the piano, Vinaya figure skates at a regional level and plays the flute.

A native of Sacramento, California, Atsuo Chiu (16) has won numerous awards and competitions including the JPTAG (Japanese Teacher Association of Greater Sacramento), where he got 1st place in 2010. In 2012 he received 3rd place at Classical Masters Competition. In 2015, he got 2nd place at the USOMC (United States Open Music Competition) for Mozart and 4th place for Brahms. In 2015, he won 1st place in American Protégé International Music Competition. He also got 1st place in AFA (American Fine Arts Festival), and a grand prix award for Concert Festival Competition in 2016. He was also awarded with the 1st

prize for the Golden Classical Music Awards International Competition. He appeared at Carnegie Hall, NY for all 4 of these competitions. In 2016, he won the 1st prize for the Grand Prize Virtuoso International Competition and performed at the Royal Albert Hall in London, England.Having been introduced to classical music as an infant, Atsuo has grown to love music. Atsuo started his piano lessons with Mrs. Shigemi Nishite from 4. They both worked hard to perfect and improve his music with their whole heart. He also is a violinist that is the second principle of the Sacramento Country Day orchestra and has won gold at the Forum Musical Festival. He also won the gold rating for the piano trio in the CMEA Golden Empire in 2013 and second place in 2016. He also does piano accompaniment for many violinists.
