The secret to a long and happy life is looking after your environment and being comfortable in doing it. I hope we can supply thecomfort, the helpful information and just a laugh or two along the way, Mr. Burton said.

In 1961, after nine years experience as a radio newsman in his native Canada, Mr. Burton emigrated to Texas where he worked

South Texas and the Rio Grande Valley. In 1962 he moved to Dallas/Fort Worth where he joined the newsroom at WBAP-TV areporter/cameraman. By 1964, Mr. Burton was the news anchor hosting the six oclock news, the ten oclock news and a uniqu

newscast at midnight. In 1968, he became the News Director of a new Dallas television station, Channel 39, and ran the newsstaff until 1970. He then joined KRLD-TV as weekend anchor and weekday reporter. Later that year Mr. Burton left television foradio to became a reporter/commentator for all-news KRLD-AM, a position he held for the next twenty years.

Mr. Burton has filed stories from all over the state of Texas, as well as from Central America, Canada, England, France, German

Israel, Australia, and China. He has received four KATY awards from the Dallas Press Club and a Buck Marryat award from theClub for life-time achievement. He received The Southwest Journalism Forum award from Southern Methodist University and a

Distinguished Alumnus award from University of Texas at Arlington. He has been recognized by the Associated Press, UnitedPress International, and Sigma Delta Chi, as well as various civic organizations. Active in the community, Mr. Burton sits on the

A recent report from AARP and Focalyst found that 40-million boomers use their purchasing power to buy environmentally safebrands. Referred to as "Green Boomers," this large segment is often more demanding of quality in the products and services the

buy, more attuned to advertising, both positively and negatively, and exhibit higher brand loyalty than other boomers.

We think baby boomers are largely overlooked by radio. Mr. Burton will start to fill that gap as he focuses on this demographic

and the unique issues they face, Mr. Yates said. We invite baby boomers to join the 32 million Americans who weekly listen toradio over the Internet to join Mr. Burton weekdays from Noon to 1:00 p.m. CDT on www.GreenRadio.net.
