Have you ever wondered how it feels to Walk on Water? Climb inside a 7 ft. giantinflatablesphereandoncesealedinoffyougo(atleastyoucantry!).Moving backwards and forwards, side to side and most probably, upside-down, you’ll have great fun trying something you’ve probably never done before. This is great fun for adults and children alike, and hilarious entertainment for any spectators.

With a truly majestic loch on the doorstep, your stay at Aldourie Castle Estate is an ideal opportunity to share a paddling adventure with family, friends or colleagues. Our expert canoe guides will take you on a journey in our very stable 2–man open canoes, sharing with you some spectacular views, wonderful stories and fascinating facts about this mysterious loch.Minimum age – 4 years old

On a bike you can cover more ground than on foot but still at a pace slow enough to appreciate the wildlife and spectacular scenery. Allow our expert bike guides to take you to some of our favourite spots. The 500 acres of the Aldourie Castle Estate provides ideal mountain biking trails – scenic and pleasurableforallabilities,withamixofflattracksalongwithdownhillsingletrack sections for the more adventurous. Longer rides can also be tailored departing from the Estate.

Assisted by our international Highland Games’ competitors, we will set up and run a genuine Highland Games for you on the lawn in front of the Castle. The events can include putting the shot, throwing the hammer, highland dancing, tug of war, chucking the wellie, haggis hurling, playing the bagpipes and, of course,tossingthecaber.Therearedifferentsizesofequipmentsothateveryone can have a go.

From a one-hour brisk exercise walk before breakfast to a full day exploring the forests and mountains around Loch Ness. Aldourie Estate grounds contain a host of interesting features that we would love to share with you - from roe deer, red kites and osprey to lovely woodland trails, a mysterious stone circle andstunningviewsdownthelengthofLochNess.Furtherafield,SouthLochNess,GlenAffricandtheCairngormsNationalParkallhostworld-classwalkingexperiences.

Segway personal transporters use space-age gyroscopic sensors combined with all-terrain tyres to ensure that you stay upright while exploring some awesome Highlandsceneryoff-road.Segwaysproducezeroemissions,virtuallynonoiseand it is impossible to describe the rush of driving one. Stand on the footplate, hold on and lean in whatever direction you want to go, using the handle to turn. Bring a picnic lunch and join us for this triple activity treat – three fun activities in one location in a day.

Wecannowoffertheverybest“SimulatedGameShooting”allyearround;be it driven pheasant, partridge or grouse. You could have birds ‘Flushing’, rising duck or even some wily pigeons if that is your choice. Each drive will involve a considerable number of targets put over the guns from continually variabletraps,thefrequencycanbeincreasedordecreasedfromflushtoflushdepending on your own wishes.

The Scottish Highlands and Inverness in particular has a long history, having evolved from an ancient fort to the Capital of the Highlands.

The area provides an interesting mix of places to see and visit from Urquhart Castle,toBattlefieldsofCulloden,whichwasthesiteofthelastbattlefoughton British soil to Cawdor Castle, where legend has it that, in 1040, Macbeth, of Shakespeare fame, built his stronghold in Inverness. Fort George, Urquhart Castle,GlenAffric,IsleofSkyeandbeyondareallwithineasyreachofAldourieCastle.

Scotland’sgolfcourseshaveforgedafinereputationasthefinestandthemostfamous links golf courses in the world. Indeed, it was on Scottish links land that thegamewasfirstplayedover600yearsagoand,centurieslater,itremainsarewarding, exhilarating and unforgettable way to enjoy a round of golf.

The nearest course to Aldourie Castle, is Castle Stuart, a links course built to Championship standard and host to the 2011 and 2012 Scottish Open. Others course in the area include, Royal Dornoch, Nairn, Spey Valley and Brora.

The Moray Firth is one of the most important places on the U.K. coast for observing dolphins and whales. The coastline has recently been voted one of the most picturesque by National Geographic. The most common species are the Bottlenose Dolphin and the Harbour Porpoise. With occasional sightings of Common dolphin and Minke Whale.
