Having the album name in the form of what it is promotes a unique way of viewing an artist and his content. Through viewing his ‘tattoos’ alone we can see many different items and quotes which link to his song names available on the album. Furthermore, tattoos are permanent and this could suggest that he is displaying his life through his tattoos, as if the songs shown are part of his life.

The song ‘The Other Side’ is clearly written while being held in the mouth of an eagle, this could suggests that this is an important song in his album.

Another song on the album ‘Talk Dirty To Me’ is also clearly shown on his neck in the form of lips, this suggests that he wants to promote something that he enjoys and would like other people to understand this.

The item of a trumpet is clearly shown on his ear, this signifies music entering his ear and also promotes the song ‘trumpets’ on his album.

Here a skull is shown on his ear, this promotes the song ‘Rest of our life’ and also promotes death through the skull.

The artists name ‘Jason Derulo’ in bold promotes his album because he is a well known household name, so the name alone promotes his music.

The title of this album is called ‘RECOVERY’ and is shown on the front cover in a sort of heavy bold white scheme. Here we can see a medical sign; the red cross, this suggests that the album has something to do with the health of the artist, which links to the name of the title ‘RECOVERY’ which suggests that he is recovering from something or his ‘path’ to recovery. We can then see an inverted ‘E’ this is usually the trademark of the artist Eminem.

‘Parental Advisory Explicit Content’ is shown on albums which contain songs and lyrics not appropriate for children. From this we already know what type of music and content the album will include; a lot of swearing and derogatory lyrics.

From the sky we can see that it is the dusk of dawn, this suggests that the artist has either been up all night and wandering the dusk of dawn. Or it could suggest that he wakes up early for a therapeutic walk early in the morning to aid in his recovery

Here we can see the artist walking along a road, here he is wearing dark coloured clothing which usually represents darkness, this could suggest that he is in a bad place at the current time.

The FBI stamp and warning suggests that the artist suffers losses from piracy. The artists mainly affected by piracy are the big time musicians as they aim to sell millions of albums to many potential customers, however many ‘unloyal’ fans may download the album free of charge.

Detroit is clearly shown on the Civic Centre sign, here the Eminem name is also clearly visible. This suggests that Eminem is big in his home town Detroit, or people recognise Detroit

Here we see the artists face in the form of pills. This links to the album name ‘Relapse’ as it suggests that he is back to his bad ways taking drugs to numb his issues/pain.

The black background promotes darkness, this suggests that the artist is currently facing issues in his life. Black also promotes fear, which could also suggest that he is afraid of relapsing as he has gone down the wrong path before.

The little stamp which is usually found on medicine packets suggests that the artist is currently undergoing serious issues, the name relapse also suggests that he is back taking drugs.

Here we see the words ‘prescribed by Dr Dre’, Dr Dre is a well known associate of Eminems and produces most of his music.

The back of the album is in the style of a pharmaceutical bag, this adheres to the image of the artists ‘Relapse’.

Here we see the songs on the album in the style of a medical checklist. This further promotes the album name as it suggests that the artist is currently in a bad place and has returned back to taking drugs, or being addicted to drugs.
