As poplars founded:

Originally it was called the Immaculate Conception Real Poplar and also Real de los Frailes. It was founded on December 8, 1682 by merit of Domingo Teran de los Rios.

Flora Flora: fruit trees are grown peaches and guavas

and quince, and is common in summer time to pick chiles along streams.

Wildlife Reptiles: Turtle River, cachoron, snake pichicuate, cliff,

Festivals, Dances and Traditions

In the town are celebrated on December 8 feasts of the Immaculate Conception Patroness of the township on November 20 marks the day of the Virgin balvanera patron of which was custom ore.

The municipality's indigenous produce palm products, wood, clay and wool.

Typical foods of the municipality are meat crushed, ground beef, corn tamales, sewn, flour tortillas, menudo, panela, cheese soup, fritters and Champurrado.
