Form and function

Made by incorporating an ethylene propylene rubber into a polypropylene matrix, Firestone UltraPly TPO is a flexible thermoplastic polyolefin (TPO) roofing membrane produced with a polyester weft-inserted reinforcement. The scrim-reinforced membrane combines the weathering characteristics of rubber with the heat weldability of a thermoplastic to form a flexible sheet with excellent lay-flat characteristics.

Reflecting sunlight before it can be absorbed and converted nto heat energy, Firestone UltraPlyTPO’s light-colored face improves the energy efficiency of the building. The white membrane satisfies EPA’s ENERGY STAR® requirements and can be used to gain LEED® certification credits.
