Commitment to SMEs
▪ Raytheon Australia is committed to the role of local suppliers as part of a
sovereign and capable Australian Defence industry.
▪ Raytheon Australia’s Industry Development Unit (IDU) was launched in July
2009 when it was amongst the first to sign a Global Supply Chain Deed with
CASG (previously the Defence Material Organisation).
▪ Raytheon Australia’s efforts to mentor local SMEs and coordinate marketing
activities in the US have earned contracts for Australian companies with our
global supply chain worth over A$340m.
▪ Raytheon seeks enduring relationships with highly capable SMEs over multiple
programs (e.g. SEA4000, LAND19 Ph7B)
