Project Architect, National Gallery of Art Work Area 9.1 & East Building Expansion The National Gallery of Art is constructing new art exhibition spaces within the current footprint of the East Building. The new spaces will include an outdoor sculpture terrace overlooking Pennsylvania Avenue and two interior galleries. As an essential part of our team, I worked alongside the Project Manager to lead the development of construction documentation. I attend meetings with the client, coordinate the efforts of employees in developing highly customized details to suit the nature of the project, and coordinate work from many consulting firms for a complex project. Currently, I am heading the construction administration services including review of submittals, requests for information, preparation of field reports, and documentation of contract modifications.

Project Architect, National Gallery of Art Work Area 4 As another phase of the renovation work at the National Gallery of Art, this project encompassed all building systems in the northeast quadrant of the West Building. Architectural work included the reconfiguration and reconstruction of nonpublic spaces, such as the conservation laboratories, and also addressed fire/smoke control and accessibility improvements. I led the existing building documentation effort; developed the demolition drawings and scope; and assisted with programming, schematic design, and design development. Additionally, I led the construction documentation and construction administration phases for a new secure employee entrance for the Gallery’s campus.
