Director of Music, Mt. Calvary Episcopal Church, Camp Hill, PA Mt. Calvary Episcopal Church seeks a Director to lead the music ministry of a thriving community of Christians who are dedicated to worshiping God and sharing Christ's love in our community. We are a warm, welcoming fellowship enjoying inspiring liturgy, beautiful music, and thoughtful preaching. We take seriously God's call to be a church of all ages, and we provide a vibrant ministry to children and young families. The adult choir consists of approximately 20 volunteers. The choir sings a varied repertoire of anthems and masses representing all periods of music at the 10am Eucharist, September through June. Mt. Calvary's pipe organ is a two-manual, 13-rank instrument, installed in 1975 by the Moller Organ Co. In the summer of 1998 it was re-voiced, additional pistons and levels of memory were added, and the console of the organ was converted to solid state equipment including musical instrument digital interface (MIDI). In 1999, an electronic component built by the Ahlborn-Galanti company was interfaced with the pipe organ. This module of 20 additional stops, playable through the existing instrument, raises the total number of stops to 33. The Director of Music will collaborate with the Rector to develop a music program which enhances the spirit of worship and assists the entire congregation in experiencing and connecting with God. The candidate should be skilled in teaching and conducting volunteer singers of all ages. Strong pastoral leadership, organizational ability, keyboard skills, and a collaborative spirit are essential. Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. The Director will serve approximately 15 hours per week.

Subject: Study Sacred Music at Notre Dame Greetings, At the moment I am recruiting students for our Master of Sacred Music and Doctor of Musical Arts programs in Organ at the University of Notre Dame. We are extremely excited about what is going on here. The MSM degree combines music (two organ recitals, organ literature, and music history) and liturgy courses. There are details of the program on the website: http://theology.nd.edu/graduate-programs/master-of-sacred-music/program-of-study/msm---master-of-sacred-music/ There are six organ students in the MSM program—three in each class. The program is highly competitive, and the level of playing is extremely high. Students are supported by full tuition fellowships and are assigned an internship that supplies a generous stipend. Typically an organ student internship is in the Basilica of the Sacred Heart on campus. Our DMA program launched this year. Details of the program can be found at: http://theology.nd.edu/graduate-programs/master-of-sacred-music/program-of-study/dma---doctor-of-musical-arts/ All students are supported by full tuition fellowships and are assigned an internship that supplies a generous stipend. Details about the program, faculty, and application/admission are on our website: http://sacredmusic.nd.edu. Prospective students must send a pre-screening audition DVD/CD/web links by December 1, 2013 and complete the online graduate school application by January 15, 2014.

Our new Fritts organ and organ hall are stunning. We have an eclectic-style tracker organ in the Basilica of the Sacred Heart that is will be replaced in January 2016. You can see the Fritts at: http://music.nd.edu/about/facilities/o-malley-organ-reyes-organ-and-choral-hall/ If you know of anyone who might be interested in applying, I am happy to hear from you.
