Hola!
Thank you for taking the time to be a part of this incredible evening. Your com-mitment and dedication to Robinson High is always greatly appreciated. As I look forward to the 2015-2016 school year, I am reminded of the important role that our Robinson High Foundation plays in the accomplishments of our school. Through the enormous amount of work that goes into organizing this benefit and the funds generated, Robinson High continues to rise.
We are so proud that our students gave us the highest approval rating of all the high schools in Hillsborough County. Our Advanced Placement (AP) pass rate was 57% last year, ranking us 5th in the entire school district. Robinson High achieved a perfect 100% IB diploma pass rate, the only school in the state of Florida and 1 of 36 in the United States of America! This was also the first 100% for a Hillsborough County IB School!
Robinson students are excelling as students, athletes and citizens. The formula for this kind of success involves many stakeholders, tonight’s benefit is vital to Robinson’s journey to the top!
Be safe and have a great evening. Thanks for being Robinson Knights!
Johnny Bush, Principal, RHS
Buenas Noches! Good Evening!
Welcome to the Robinson High School Foundation’s fifth annual Benefit, “Ha-vana Knights”. I hope you have a wonderful evening enjoying the fellowship of our special Robinson community. Your patronage here tonight, will directly benefit the entire school, and I encourage you to bid generously on our live and silent auction items. The more we raise, the more we can do!
Since 2010, the Foundation has raised over $200,000.00. The money has been used to improve campus technology, support our award winning CUBE (Col-lege and Career Center), provide faculty and administrative grants, assist our athletic teams, improve campus facilities and landscaping, as well as supporting the PTSA.
Please join me in expressing gratitude to James Baker, our Benefit Chair and his talented and hard-working Benefit Committee, for planning and creating “Havana Knights”!Que se diviertan! Enjoy!Muchas Gracias! Many Thanks!

Salud!
The 2015 RHS Foundation “Havana Knights” Committee would like to take this opportunity to thank all the dedicated people who have made tonight’s event a success. This event simply would not have been made possible without their selfless donation of time, money, auction items and creative talents. Most importantly we want to thank you for attending this evening. We hope tonight is filled with food, music, shopping and fun. There are many great items in the silent and live auctions. Pick something fun and remember that your purchases help to enhance Robinson High School.
It’s great to be a Knight!

Bill Freitas, Live Auction Emcee
Bill is a writer and broadcaster with a background in sports talk radio for several stations and satirical sports commentary for Creative Loafing. Bill is also a contributing instructor with the Connecticut School of Broad-casting Tampa Campus and co-wrote If You’d Read This Book, You’d Be Employed by Now (www.ifyoudreadthisbook.com). He is husband to Mary (a saint) and father to pups Chewie and Emmitt (shelter rescues). In his spare time Bill trains for marathons and volunteers in the commu-nity. We’re glad he chose to spend time with us tonight to help support the RHS Foundation.
Wilfredo Hernandez, Robinson Student Artist
Inspired by Robinson student artist and 2015 graduate Wilfredo Hernan-dez, the “Havana Knights” artwork depicts a festive, colorful street scene. Born in Cuba, Wilfredo moved to the states as a young boy. Proud of his rich heritage, he recalls playing sports in the streets and enjoying a strong sense of neighborhood and family. Wilfredo is quite an accomplished artist and particularly enjoys designing images and enhancing them in Photoshop. In the future, he hopes to put his artistic talents to use study-ing architecture. We thank Wilfredo for his work on the look of this year’s “Havana Knights” fundraiser.
Lionel Lowry, Benefit Promotions Designer
RHS parent Lionel Lowry is an author, marketing guru and idea factory with a strong background in design. We are grateful he shared his talents in helping us design the benefit program cover, banners, signs, and more to help promote this event. Learn more about his children’s book Super Emotions (ages 2-7) on Amazon.com or at www.SuperEmotions.com.
