The Monkey Bar has officially moved into the AnnerleyJunior Clubhouse and owners Aaron, Jane and Dani areproud as punch to be serving awesome coffee andincredible food to the local community each and everyweek.

In particular, Aaron Jane and Dani are thrilled to belooking after the Annerley crowd after being involved withthe club for many years. They are currently upholding thelong tradition of providing free icy poles to Junior playersfollowing their Saturday matches, as well as assisting withthe catering following home games for Senior Men andWomen's teams.

So far this year we have had two very good resultsand one disappointing result. Which leaves us 1win 1 draw and 1 loss and mid table. My systemsand my philosophies have been put in place andso far we are sitting on a pass mark in my books.

Bayside. We all know how important this game is to some of us. Withthe head coach of Bayside being Roy Wiseman, my predecessor andBayside fielding many ex Annerley FC players. However, to me,Bayside are just another team and just another opposition that weneed to overcome. The program, systems and philosophies stay thesame and although we have some major injuries at the moment, thedepth we have created alongside of the quality of our core will, at theend of the day, get us over the line.

Previous Men's Results...Men's Capital 1 notched up their first win of the season 2-1 away to Grange Thistle. The Cap 1reserves were unlucky to lose 3-2. City 1 went down with a 1-0 loss to the traditionally strongLions FC. City 2 beat Taringa 3 -1 & the City 3's had a tough night at Westside FC, losing 7-1.City 4's rounded out the weekend with a strong 2-1 win against Toowong FC.

Everyone loves a local derby, and thisweek sees the City 1 team square offagainst our local rivals Easts. We arecoming off a good start to the seasonwith a 1-1 draw with Ipswich, and a 2-0away win over Pine Hills, and this weekwill be another tough match.

It's good to have a couple of players back in the team thatstepped up to play BWPL last week, and we have a little bit ofextra motivation hoping to wipe out the defeat our top teamsuffered last round to our opposition's counterparts.

Previous Women's Results...Last week the BWPL team lost a tough match again EasternSuburbs 4-0 at Elder Oval. At Pine Hills, our Women's City 1 won 2-0and City 4 & 5 both won their games at home 5-1 & 3-0 respectively.
