Exchange Gateway, Best Practices Best Practices

Install on the Exchange Server -does not have to be the 'main' mailbox server

Must Install the Addressing Components on all Exchange Servers with mailboxes for proper sync

Install into its own GroupWise Domain (EXCHDOM) -my name for it.

EXCHDOM should run on the Exchange server local to its EXCHGATE -The Exchange Gateway

You need the Novell Client AND ConsoleOne on the Exchange server -easiest way to manage it.

Active Directory with full administrator to the local servers -again easiest

eDirectory -Use an Admin equivalent -easiest. “Interact with Desktop” for MTA Screen -does not work for

Exchange Gateway screen Must set a “Run As” or in Startup as an application for

the 'screen'.
