Objective

Ida Hagg began AdoptaPlatoon in 1998.

The organization was developed in an effort to help her son get mail to nine of his friends.

The request was sent and now over 1 million U.S. Service Members have been touched by either the seasonal or year round campaigns.

History

The organization has continued to prosper because of the tireless efforts and commitment of American Citizens.

The influxes of cards, letters, and donations have warmed the hearts of our troops.

The effort not only warms their hearts, but gives great motivation for the Services Members to continue to sacrifice their lives in defense of our country.

History

The emotional health and sacrifice of life is a great impact on US Troops. There are approximately 37,000 troops who have committed suicide nationally.

It is important to develop efforts to help keep the troops emotionally and physically healthy while on military missions.

The troops go without their families, friends, and the little touch of home to serve and protect. U.S. citizens it is our duty to serve the people that serve and protect for us.

It only costs .41 cent is the cost of stamp to send a troop a letter to say “Thank You”. We all have the power to keep smiles on our troops faces by letting them know we are grateful for and recognize their efforts.
