Goal
The goal of the Adventure Education Unit is to
inspire leadership qualities in high school
students by developing and offering a unit that
address the needs of all students at. The skills
developed through our units will assist students
in the studies and in their daily lives by
promoting confidence, problem solving
skills, self efficacy and self-esteem.
Skills to be taught include:
• Orienteering• Team Building• Trust, Partner, and Group Instruction• Problem Solving• Creative Thinking• Experiential Learning• Community Interaction
What is needed• Rock wall• Area or portion of gym to install the Rock wall or if
a auxiliary gym is available• Safety equipment – harness, helmets, Carabiners
& Crampons, accessories.• Rope• Netting or webs• Certified instructor
