Admissions-2015 M.Phil. and Ph.D. Biological Sciences at NIAB M.Phil. and Ph.D. Biotechnology at NIBGE NIAB and NIBGE are serving the nation as centers of excellence in nuclear oriented advance research in Biological Sciences and in the field of Biotechnology & Genetic Engineering. NIAB for the last 43 years is contributing in the areas of Agriculture & Biology whereas NIBGE for the last two decades as a center of excellence in Biotechnology. NIBGE is also an affiliate center of the International Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (ICGEB), Trieste, Italy. Continuing tradition of human resource development, NIAB & NIBGE offer their platform to students having passion for innovative research, self-confidence and wishing to develop their careers in Biological Sciences and Biotechnology. •Submit duly filled admission form (can be downloaded from www.niab.org.pk (Biological Sciences) or www.nibge.org (Biotechnology) accompanied with attested copies of the certificates of qualification, domicile, character certificate, detailed marks certificate, three passport size photographs and no objection certificate from the employer in case of in-service candidates. Incomplete application form may cause delay in admission or termination of candidature. •There will be written test and interview for M.Phil. admission. However, for Ph.D. admission, candidates have to appear for an interview only. •The candidates are directed to bring their CNIC, original certificates, thesis/research report and a copy of publication(s) at the time of interview. • Pakistani nationals can apply for M.Phil. admission, with minimum qualification of M.Sc./BS degree (16 years of education), in the field of Natural Sciences (Biology, Botany, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Zoology)/Agricultural Sciences/MBBS/ DVM/Pharm D from HEC recognized university. • For Ph.D. admission, Pakistani nationals with minimum qualification of M.Sc.(Hones)/M.Phil. degree (18-years of education) in the field of Biology/Agriculture/Veterinary/ Environmental Sciences or Bioinformatics from HEC recognized university. • First class academic career will be preferred. However, one second division (not less than 50% marks) is allowed . • At least 3.0 CGPA (out of 4) or equivalent is required in the final degree. • HEC scholarship holders will be given preference. • In-service candidates may apply through proper channel. • Subject GRE test is mandatory for Ph.D. admission, as per HEC guidelines.
