If your current address is a temporary living arrangement, and if it is due to the loss of housing

or economic hardship, your children may be eligible

for services from CONNECTIONS.

The Northside Independent School District’s CONNECTIONS Program provides services to students and families who are:• Sharing the housing of other persons due to the loss of

housing, economic hardship, or a similar reason

• Living in motels, hotels, trailer parks, or camp grounds due to the lack of alternative accommodations

• Living in emergency or transitional shelters

Services• Enrollment assistance

• School supplies

• Backpacks

• School uniforms

• Supplemental academic support

• Transportation

• Community resource information

Si su dirección actual es un arreglo de vivienda temporal (de poca duración)y es debido a la pérdida de su casa, vivienda o habitación, o debido a dificultades económicas (ejemplo: desempleo), sus hijos quizás cumplen con los requisitos para recibir los servicios del programa CONNECTIONS.

El programa CONNECTIONS es parte del Distrito Escolar Independiente de Northside y ofrece servicios a estudiantes y familias quienes:• Conviven en un hogar con otras personas/familia

(parientes o amistades) debido a la pérdida de su propio hogar

• Viven en moteles, hoteles, casas rodantes o campamentos porque no tienen otras alternativas

• Viven en albergues de emergencia o de transición

• Uniformes escolares

• Apoyo académico adicional

• Transporte

• Información sobre recursos en la comunidad

Students who qualify for this program do so under the federal McKinney-Vento Homeless Education Assistance Act
