We have updated the content of the PYP website with the latest news from school activities, calendars of events, pictures gallery, etc.

Some ideas for the websites: divided web pages for teachers, students and parents

and/or divided for each year level (PYP Playgroup-PYP 6) More interactive menus (web components) More downloadable content (sharing resources, lesson

plan, teaching documents, etc) More useful web links for teachers, parents and

students (beside intranet) communication tools between teachers (administrator)

and parents (e-mail, feedback notes, etc).

Some concerns and discussion What is the purpose of the website? Who are the

target audiences? Is it only informing, how about communicating/interacting? It will affect the information we put and also the features we build on our website.

There are still some discussion among the ICT team especially regarding with new ICT office roles and responsibilities therefore we can’t really maximize the use or the feature of the website without the help from ICT office staff.

We have difficulties in collecting information from teachers especially regarding with article management procedure.

Page 8: Admin meeting, Friday. Contents ICT equipments availability PYP websites ICT curriculum Promoting Technology at school School Vision Critical issue Ideal.

Some possible solutions

The procedure to upload the content: for content management, coordinator will do overview of every interesting program/activity run at school, contact TL and TL or the assigned person will write the article and check it to the expat. Then it will go to principal for the last editing. Coordinator will publish it on the website.

Some best school websites are available for our reference and made using the seven criteria below: Design, Ease of use, Copywriting, Interactivity, Use of technology, Innovation, Content.
