Food & Wine

With more than 200 cellar doors, as well as bustling local markets and vibrant restaurants, Adelaide is recognised as having one of the best gourmet food and wine scenes.

Adelaide Sightseeing has a selection of tours that focus on those regions that are closest to the city, some less than an hour’s drive away, introducing you not only to world famous wineries, but also the smaller, family run boutique cellar doors.

“At the ‘cool’ end of the Barossa experience, TeAro’s wines have been crafted by 4 generations of the Fromm family from planting and pruning to harvesting and winemaking. During your structured tasting you will hear the stories about the characters behind their elegant wine portfolio. Discover the Barossa of tomorrow at TeAro today. ”

Whilst the Barossa Wine Region is world famous for its wine, food is always at the forefront, and the local produce there is second to none.

On both the Barossa Food & Wine Experience (page 11) and the Barossa & Hahndorf Highlights (page 12), your gourmet lunches are prepared with care and passion, and the memory of that taste of goodness will continue long after you return to Adelaide.

“At Lambert Estate we are working with the finest ingredients and our team’s renowned creativity we bring you an ever evolving food and wine experience. Our weekly changing menus are well balanced, rich in flavor, show integrity to the season and reflect our passion for good quality food.”

The Adelaide Hills is a picturesque region that produces some of the finest cool climate wines. On the Barossa & Hahndorf Highlights (page 12) or Adelaide Hills & Hahndorf (page 8), you will have free time to explore the main street of Hahndorf, sample the local produce, or taste some wine at one of the local boutique wineries.

McLaren Vale may be one of the most geologically diverse wine regions in the world, it is bursting with passionate locals who strive to maintain a reputation forged by their predecessors.

Discover this enthusiasm on the McLaren Vale Food & Wine Indulgence (page 13), from the morning tea through to the structured tastings, and even in the free time to explore the main street or Menz Chocolates, you will agree that it is a rare breed of

place that combines a cosmopolitan lifestyle with an earthy charm.

“Red Poles believes in presenting the very best of food, wine, art and ale that highlights all our region has to offer. We welcome you as family to our beautiful space where small town charm is part of the food and wine story we weave when you visit. With the sea as our neighbour and a Mediterranean climate the Fleurieu region is a wonderful source for local produce and this is clearly reflected in our menus just as the fine wines reflect the character of the soils.”

On any of our Food & Wine Tours, the characters you’ll meet, the wines you will taste and the food you will feast on, it all comes together to convince you that South Australia is truly the food and wine capital of Australia.
