who are tardy more than 2 times will be sent to a

Holding Room in the cafeteria.

Homework Policy

No Excuses, Just Results!Show-up, Engage & Produce

There will be Homework to be assigned in this class from time to time. Homework includes any assignments that are completed outside of regular class time. Homework contributes toward building self-discipline, responsibility and life-long learning. It is a reflection of the classroom work which:

• Enhances the academic growth of the student.• Prepares the student for the subject lessons.• Reinforces concepts and objectives taught in the classroom.• Develops independent study skills to foster initiative and

self direction.The actual time required to complete assignments will vary with each student’s study habits, academic skills and selected course load. Students needing help completing their homework are encouraged to ask questions, get help during Titan Time or attend Pass the Class.

Entering the Classroom• Students are not allowed to bring food or

drink into the classroom. • These items should be consumed outside of

the classroom. • Students who bring food or drink into the

classroom will be asked to take them to the hallway or to throw them away.

Tardy to Class• Students who enter the classroom after the

bell rings are tardy. • Students who are tardy more than 2 times in a

semester must report to a Holding Room in the cafeteria.

Supplies for class• Students should bring their notebook, a pen or pencil

to class each day. • Students who do not bring these supplies are still

expected to work in class. • Notebook assignments can be completed on separate

paper and then attached to their notebook later. • Students may write with colored pencils or markers

that are available in the classroom or may borrow a pen or pencil from another student.

Finding out Assignments• Daily activities/assignments/research are

posted on the board in the classroom and on the fusion page.

• Instructions and at times resources are also available on the Fusion Page.

Turning in Assignments• Assignments must be completed to be graded.

Incomplete assignments will be returned to the student.

• Any assignment completed after the original due date will be counted late.

• Completed assignments must be turned in to the teacher.

Finding out Grade Status• Students will be shown their grades at least

once each week by the teacher. • Students and parents may also access grades

by using either Student Assist or Parent Assist.

Student Responsibilities after an Absence• Students who are absent can obtain a list of activities

or assignments that were assigned or collected during class on the School Fusion calendar for this class.

• Electronic copies of notes, notebook assignments, and homework assignments are also posted on School Fusion by chapter.

• Students who do not have access to School Fusion should obtain missing assignments during Titan Time or before/after class.

Ending Class• Students should return 5 minutes before the

time any supplies or textbooks to their appropriate place and be seated in their assigned seats before the end of class.

• Once all students are seated and the bell has rung, students will be dismissed.

Additional Information

No Excuses, Just Results!Show-up, Engage & Produce

Students who receive less than 70% on any assignment may correct the assignment and receive up to a grade of 70%.

Students who receive less than 70% on a chapter/unit test may retake the test. These students must (1) correct their original test, (2) complete any missing assignments from that chapter/ unit, and (3) score at least 80% on the retake to raise their test score to 70%. Late tests and retakes can be taken until the late work cutoff date at the end of each semester.

Students who either copy/cheat, or represent themselves as copying/cheating, will be required to complete the assignment again OR be required to complete a replacement assignment.
