Warner Brothers Studio Tour or In School Activity

Warner Brothers Studio Tour

Monday

Aims and outcomes of the day A visit to the Warner Brothers Studio Tour – “The making of Harry Potter” introduces students to the many aspects of the visual arts that go into creating the scenery, sets, props, costumes and models in a film. Whilst the day is seeing those creations made for the Harry Potter films, the skills used are the same for any film or TV production, so this visit will give a wide-ranging insight to the industry. Those attending will have selected prior to the day which area they would like to work in so they can use the visit to collect ideas, inspiration and information that can be used in their own creative endeavours over the following days.

What does the day entail? Students will be expected to make the most of the experience of the tour and make sketches, drawings and notes about areas of interest. They will therefore need a small bag for equipment and paper. They must stay in small groups whilst in the studio. Staff will be located at various points and each group will have a main point of contact.

Timings

7.00am 3.00pm
