• Fort Belvoir, VA: Concrete Slab with obstacles behind bowling center. – Gated – Locked when not supervised

• Schofield Barracks, HI: Have an open skatepark in a common use area. Popularity comes and goes. No need for “program.” Isn’t worth the overhead compared to what he gets from organized sports programs. Surveys youth interest regularly. They just want to, “do their own thing.

• Fort Bliss, TX: Fenced basketball court sized skatepark with fixed

obstacles. Popular. Nothing for adults or younger children. Concerns about safety and enforcing policies.

• Redstone Arsenal, AL: Had some obstacles that

did not hold up. Commander required strict supervision and gated access. Kids didn’t come. Obstacles still in storage. Knows interest is high, but needs updated policies.

• West Point USMA, NY: Skatepark high on AFAP

for years. Location concerns. Ideal if space can also be used for football parking.

• Fort Campbell, KY: Had an open, skate at your own risk skatepark 5 – 7 years ago. Closed it. They believe Interest has been dying down over last 3 years.

• Fort Stewart, GA: Tried to get a skatepark 5 years ago. Understood from JAG and Safety offices that it had to have controlled access and be supervised. Concluded it was unmanageable. Abandoned interest.
