In nuclear chart, heavier elements are growing fast due to the availability &
advancement in the stable nuclear beam technology. Since for a long time, the search
for the next spherical shell (Magic Number) for the proton number has gone on and we
have recently approached to Z = 120 Super Heavy Element (SHE). On the other hand,
in present time the most challenging question for computer science technology
experts/scientists is to create fast and efcient mass storage devices to store ever
increasing data. Advance new technology in bio sciences known as Synthetic DNA
(Deoxyribonucleic Acid) has open a new door for the futuristic energy efcient mass 3storage devices. One can imagine that 1 mm device made by synthetic DNA can store
roughly 109 GB data. This is a good indication for solving the demand problem of mass
storage which is expected to be over 16 zettabytes in 2017. Moreover, it is estimated
that by 2020, 35 zettabytes of digital information will be generated. Facebook recently
built an entire data center dedicated to 1 exabyte of cold storage. Synthetic DNA
technology is developed by Nick Goldman and his team members at the European
Bioinformatics Institute and report published in January 2013 in international weekly
journal of science on nature.com.
Since 21st century we have developed technology pushing extreme limits imaginable.
It has only been possible by applying interdisciplinary approaches to the complex
problems as discussed above. Interdisciplinary research is a need of the hour to
develop breakthrough technologies that will solve technology problems of the future.

when pressed moves the wire down to the heating chamber that melts
the solder wire for soldering.
Floating Safety Bag for Multiple Persons by Ankush Gupta &
Neeraj Kumar
Triangular shaped safety bag is proposed that is having two air tubes on
each side that prevents it from sinking. The triangular region of the
safety bag holds three persons on each triangular side, the bag is
closed from all sides using leak proof zippers. The bag contains oxygen
packets that dispense the required amount of oxygen to provide
comfortable breathing atmosphere to the users inside the safety bag.
Two portable small air compressors for lling air in the tube are also
provided inside the bag. The safety bag also contains GPS chip and
rst aid for tracking and safety of the users. The material of safety bag is
Kevlar that helps in resisting strong impacts.
Laptop Security System by Arjun Sharma and Neeraj Kumar
Laptop security system consists of infrared sensor that emits low
frequency infrared rays and is xed on one side of the laptop. On the
other side IR receiver is xed. Whenever anyone tries to operate the
laptop i.e. open or close the ap of the laptop an obstruction occurs in
the path of infrared rays and the alert signal is sent to the user's mobile.
Farmer Interactive Remotely Controlled Rice Crop Disease
Detection System by Dr. Sheifali Gupta, Satpal Singh, Sagar
Juneja, Rupesh Gupta
It comprises of a hand held device with display and an unmanned aerial
vehicle (UAV) with a camera controlled using a processor along with
embedded image processing software. Camera at UAV captures the
live video of the rice eld and transmits it to handheld device using
ZigBee Wireless Communication. Farmer visualizes the diseased crop
from remote location without entering the eld. He gives command to
UAV to click picture of such diseased plant, disease is identied and the
pesticide to be used is decided accordingly.
