Flying an RPAS(Remote Pilot Aircraft System)

Is a qualified “entity” ( for the UK CAA )

= Checks if an operator is qualified to get a

flight permission for operating a certain UAS

with a certain pilot

= After qualification, gives a recommendation

to the UK CAA for a permission to fly

A staged approach

1. Design & Construction certificate for 1

aircraft

2. Pilot qualification (BNUC-STM)

3. Application for UK CAA permission

= required for any UAS aerial work operator in

the UK
