SPECIFICATION DATA
Advanced technology controller
NEXSENTRY 4100 CONTROLLER redefines the state-of-the art for access control technology. Advanced digitaltechnology, easy installation, modular components, and an affordable price make NexSentry Controllerthe right solution for managing even the most demanding access control applications. NexSentryController’s embedded 32-bit Intel® microprocessor is a giant step in access control technology that givesit superfast and accurate control of up to eight doors. A four-door version is also available (seeNexSentry 4104 Controller data sheet). Other advanced features include: card capacity options for up to50,000 cardholders; independent PIN entry for each card holder; assignable door lock relays, and;optional elevator control.
Modular and open architecture
NexSentry Controller’s modular architecture allows flexible system design options for tailoring secure anddependable access control solutions for any facility, regardless of size. Support for proximity, magneticstripe, keypad, biometric, and smart card access control technologies at each door allows for easyintegration of custom applications at each door. A NexSentry Wiegand Interface Unit (WIU) allowsfacilities with Wiegand physical interface systems to upgrade to WSE’s advanced digital technology whilekeeping intact the current wiring scheme of the security network. The optional NexSentry WIU modulealso makes NexSentry Controller able to operate with many third party readers.
Easy installation
Twisted-pair wiring greatly reduces the cost and difficulty of installing an access control system andallows up to a 4,000 foot distance between NexSentry Controller and its readers. While providing anadvanced access control solution, NexSentry Controller is also economically priced so any organizationcan implement an advanced multiple technology system at a cost similar to less secure single technologysystems.
