PROJECTS

ONBOARD • NEED TO COLLABORATE, INNOVATE, SHARE OR INSPIRE? GET ONBOARD • JAVASCRIPT • 2016

OnBoard is a management system that allows teams to easily focus on your design and manage its workflow. It allows

you to share visual concepts, clearly explain your thoughts, and be able to bounce ideas off of your team members,

and prioritizes the most important ideas.

VIA APPIA • DYNAMIC D*LITE SEARCH ALGORITHM FOR REAL WORLD APPLICATIONS • JAVA • 2015

Our implementation of D*Lite enables the scope feature to analyze obstacles within sight through a dynamically

enabled algorithm with heuristic weighting. Given a starting point and a goal, you will move closer to it, and react to

obstacles that come into view.

OPTIMIZING FREE SPACE DATA TRANSMISSION THROUGH INTERFERENCE •R • 2015

Used data analysis and created statistical models to minimize loss when using optical equipment to transmit data,

such as sound, through free space under the guidance of Professor Charles Tu and Dr. Dr. Peter Ilinykh of University

of California at San Diego.

VERSITILE ROBOTIC ARM TO MANIPULATE OBJECTS •JAVA •2015

Built and tested a controllable robotics arm that was able to pick up, lift and move objects of various shapes, sizes, and weights; First Prize District Science Fair

COOLING AND CONCENTRATING TO MAXIMIZE PHOTOVOLTAIC POWER PRODUCTION • 2013

Created a device to provide energy to rural villages by concentrating light on a solar cell and using a water cooling system to cool the cell and provide a source of heated water; Second Prize at Synopsys Championship; First Prize

District Science Fair; Commendation by Mayor of San Jose

EXPERIENCE AND ORGANIZATIONS

EVHS ROBOTICS • PRESIDENT • 2012-2016

Grew the club from 40 students to 150, and expanded the club to include 4 lower division teams. Lead a team in FRC competition in a company like setting to build, bag, and ship a robot in 6 weeks. • Judge’s Award 2013 • Best

Engineering Project 2015

BOY SCOUTS OF AMERICA • EAGLE SCOUT •2004-2015

Led team to build 4 planter boxes and a garden for autistic students in EVHS’s Special Education Department

PHYSICS IN AND THROUGH COSMOLOGY • LBNL •2014

Was chosen to participate in a physics program at LBNL to learn about Cosmology research from leading physicists.

COMPUTING AND PROGRAMMING EXPERIENCE •GOOGLE INC• 2012

Was one of 30 students (out of 600 nominated) chosen to participate in Google CAPE. Learned algorithms, app

creation, Python and Arduino programming. Met many prominent computer scientists from Silicon Valley Companies.
