In order to obtain planning permission which would enable the scheme to be constructed, anEnvironmental Statement (ES) needs to be produced. An ES is part of the Environmental ImpactAssessment (EIA) which considers the impact of the scheme across 13 pre-determined topics. Thisensures that measures to mitigate against environmental impacts are implemented.

As part of the EIA, the Council will be commissioning ecological surveys in the coming weeks. Thesesurveys will take place over a 12 month period, the indicative timescales of which are shown below:

In order to undertake surveys, access will be required to private land on the proposed route and withinits vicinity. Cornwall Council will be writing to landowners to agree access arrangements.
