Mohamamd Keivanmarz

Born in 1986, Mohammad Keivan Marz graduated from the Art University of Tehran with a degree in screenwri-ting. He has been working in the animation industry since 2009. He has worked for se-veral Years in various anima-tion and film projects withstorytelling as a storyboard artist and concept designer. He also teaches at various schools and teaching digital painting and illustration at the university. He founded Marz Animation Studio in 2015, where he began tea-ching painting and illustrated children’s book and anima-tion, until Marz Animation Studio created his first full-length animation, Father, in 2017-2019. Being from Kolkata, India, we set out to engage head-on with one of the most pressing problems of our region: cli-mate change. We challenged ourselves to make a ‘climate change nightmare’, visua-lising and making tangible the grim future of our city and exploring what humans and animals alike would do to survive. Katyayan shivpuri is a writer and director working out of Mumbai, India. He started by learning the craft on the sets of Bollywood films and branded televi-sion commercials. Telling stories with raw human emotions is what excites him.

Ironic situations, characters with flaws and finding a silver lining in tragedy are some of the things he likes to incorporate in his storytelling. He hopes his stories evoke bittersweet emotions in the audience, perhaps even leaving a lasting emotional impact.His first short film won the National Film development corporation of India (NFDC SBFF) film festival. He just completed his next short film.Director StatementHunger is a universal feeling. Hunger is felt by the poor and hunger is also felt by the rich. This is my interpretation of a true story that happened on the streets of Mumbai.The emotion of longing for something, craving it, desiring it but not being able to fulfil it is so real. It is felt by everybody.I decided to minimise the dialogues spoken to let the emotions and expressions speak out aloud!This film talks about life and its desire, its raw emotions and its ironies. The homeless man can see food all around him-from the restaurant, its marketing banners, the street stalls-but he doesn't have the money to eat.And what if someday he gets a chance to fulfil his hunger, his desire? Edgardo Pistone

Edgardo Pistone was born in Naples in 1990. His passion for seventh art led him to undertake directing and pho-tography studies at the Aca-demy of Fine Arts in Naples. After completing his studies he began working as a direc-tor and author, photographer and screenwriter, also appro-aching the world of education, bringing cinema with various associations to the suburbs of his city where he taught the art of cinema to youngpeople. In 2019 he partici-pated as assistant director in the making of "Selfie" byAgostino Ferrente, presen-ted at the 76th Berlinale and winner, the following year, of the David di Donatello Award for Best Documentary. Stefan Djordjevic

Stefan Djordjevic was born in Bor, a small industrial town in Eastern Serbia in 1987. Af-ter moving to Belgrade for studying, his main interest switched from making skate videos to film and photography. His amateur film "Crap" was the inspiration for the film "Tilva Ros" by Nikola Lezaic, in which Stefan plays one of the two main roles. The film won Heart of Sarajevo award for the best film in 2010., and it was nominated for the European Discovery Award by the European Film Academy. He graduated both BA and MA studies at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade, Camera department. His graduation film was a short fiction film "A handful of stones", which was screened on many international film festivals and had international premiere at the ACID programme of Cannes Film Festival. During studies he directed and shot a couple of short films , which some of them are:

"Journey" (short documentary), "Juvenile" (short documentary), directed by Jovan Todorovic and "Wings and Things" (short fiction), which he co-directed with Jelena Gavrilovic. He participated in Sarajevo Talents 2018. His latest short film is “The last image of father”, which he wrote and directed, had World premiere at Locarno Film Festival and won Young Jury award for best international short film. Regional premiere was at Sarajevo Film Festival and the film won Heart of Sarajevo award for the best international short film.For the last seven years of his life my father was living and working abroad, until one day he suddenly passed away. During those seven years, I had seen him only once. All my memories of him are from the period when I was thirteen years old, while we were still living together. The one feeling I associate most strongly with our relationship is the feeling of care. His care for me, and from one point in time, my care for him. Some of the images were memories, while other were fantasies of what our relationship could have been. The screenplay for “The Last Image of Father” came out of my need to articulate all those images through a story, and to, above all, express just how much I miss my dad. I feel the biggest challenge for me was telling the story from the father’s point of view. It came out of desire to put myself in his position, because I think that now, as an adult myself, I can understand him better.

Stefano D’Antuono nasce a Como nel 1991. Nel 2010 si trasferisce a Torino per studiare cinema al Dams e comincia a lavorare come proiezionista al Cinema Lux, sala storica della città. ”2019,Ayllarewen2019.Oneofmylastdocumentary projects was developed at the Escuela Superior Campesina CuracodeVélezwherehedirectsthedocumentaryshortfilmAislados,inwhichtheconnectivitycrisisexperiencedby the locals of the Quinchao Archipelago is exposed. At present, I am developing a documentary medium-length titled Trazos de agua, focused on the life of the Valdivian watercolorist Ricardo Andwanter and the documentary Trafkintu that deals with the exchange of seeds and knowledge. The intention of making this documentary is due to theneedtopublicizecitizenexpressionafterthesocialoutbreakofOctober2019throughscratches,graffitiandin-terventions,reflectingthefeelingsofthepeople.Theobjectiveistoregistertheneedtoexpress,insomeway,whatsociety feels when seeing that the Chilean government does not solve its historical demands, health, education, pension funds, among others. The striped sequences tell us what many citizens are experiencing, demonstrating the suffering of the poorest in the country, the great gap that exists between rich and poor, as well as the violence that the Mapuche nation is suffering.
