A Tale of Two Platforms, Or,
Is it time you had an LMS?
South Korea, one of the world's highest-rated education systems, aims to consolidate its position by digitising its entire curriculum by 2015. South Korea's Minister of Education said that his department was preparing a promotion strategy for "Smart Education", focusing on customised learning and teaching. The project will involve wireless networks in all schools to allow students to learn "whenever and wherever", and a learning management system (LMS) that can run on a variety of devices including PCs, laptops, tablets and internet-connected TVs.
Gary Eason, BBC News, Oct 2011
