Pastor Wood is a native of Middle Georgia and has 10

years experience as

a Youth Pastor in GA, NC, and FL. A 1993 graduate of Georgia College and State

Divinity) of Southeastern Baptist Theological

Seminary, Brandton served the past 3! years as the founding pastor of

Cross Pointe Community Church in Hudson, NH. Now, happy to

be back in his home state, Brandton is grateful for the

opportunity to impact countless lives through

Barefoot Landing.

Dahlonega’s North Georgia College and State University.

Before her recent move to Cumming, Georgia, Heidi called Hudson, NH (Greater Boston) her home.

Arts in Counseling). Having previously served as a Student Ministry Intern at numerous churches, including Hickory Grove Baptist of Charlotte, NC,

Katie brings a wealth of experience to the BFL staff. Married to Brandton in 1997, Katie has not only provided outstanding support for her husband, she has also found great joy as the mother of two adventurous little girls. With a

heart for preschoolers, Katie is excited about the opportunity to help shape the lives of 100's and 1000's of preschoolers through the preschool ministry of Barefoot Landing, the Church at North Forsyth.

people. Erin will begin working in our Student Ministry beginning in September 2004.

After 8 years in Youth Ministry in GA and NC, Brandton Wood served as a Youth Pastor for 2 more years at First Baptist Church (FBC) of Clermont, FL. While at FBC, Brandton saw the small FBC Youth Ministry grow from 25 to over 150 students. Then, through a remarkable chain of events, Brandton and his wife, Katie, were called of the Lord into church planting in New England. With the primary sponsorship of FBC Clermont and additional partnerships with other churches including Antioch Baptist (Chapel Hill, NC), Bethlehem Baptist (Knightdale, NC), Dexter Baptist (Dexter, GA), Nashua Baptist (Nashua, NH), Providence Baptist (Raleigh, NC & Raymond, NH), and Sunshine Methodist (Round Oak , GA), Brandton began Cross Pointe Community Church in Hudson, NH. During Brandton’s 3½ years in NH, Cross Pointe grew from 0- 100 (drawing from a crowd of 150 + people), saw 100 + saved and 3 called to Fulltime Ministry. Also, before Brandton left Cross Pointe, it had begun to expand by supporting another new church, Gate City Baptist in Nashua, NH. Early on when Brandton first sensed the Lord’s Call to Plant Churches, there were two places that Brandton said he would never serve –New England (too cold and too far) and the Atlanta area. Now after experiencing God ’s blessings in New England, Brandton is planting Barefoot Landing along the Northern Edge of Metro Atlanta. What a God we serve!

I work with church planters all day... but my best days are when I get to spend time with planters like Brandton Wood. Brandton has already planted one successful church in a challenging area . Now , as he moves forward on his second plant , I am confident that God will bless it greatly.
