UKBA has opened the doors for the students who can apply for Tier 1 Graduate Entrepreneur scheme. It is aimed at recent graduates, who have Tier 4 immigration permission, who have "genuine and credible business ideas and entrepreneurial skills". Those who can apply for this visa include students who recently completed their studies in United Kingdom, students with Bachelor's, Master's and PhD degree and when your business idea has been endorsed by the endorsing body.

This visa is beneficial in terms of running one's own business by spending majority of the time developing the business. This allows one to sponsor dependents and by the end of the second year in this category, the migrant can switch into Tier 1 (Entrepreneur).
