Extra NotesWhen a person prays for healing and doesn’t receive, many times different theologies are formed such as it must not be God’s will or God’s timing. However, this in an inconsistent approach to understanding the will of God. If a person was to die in sin, we certainly would not state that it was God’s will for that to happen, because it is clear that it is not His will that any should perish (II Pet 3:9) God’s will can only be determined through the Word (Eph 5:17, Matt 6:10). JESUS is the living Word (John 1:1, 14), the perfect will of God manifested in the flesh. By examining the whole counsel of God we can see that it is God’s will to Heal all (Exod 15:26, Matt 8:16-17). When we are solidified on this, even when we don’t see healings manifest in our life we will remain stedfast on the word of God, know the will of God, and not be removed from this important truth.

Extra Notes“Can” expresses ability, while “will” expresses desire, and direct intention. Just because someone can (or is able to) do something, does not mean they are willing. For example, a billionaire, may be able to give you a million dollars, however if you were to ask for a million dollars and be denied, that would show they were not willing to give that amount of money. Similarly, many Christians believe that God can heal, but they question if he is willing, consequently they ask the Lord to heal them “if it be thy will”. Praying in this manner is not praying in faith (James 1:6-8, James 5:15). When one knows that is God’s will to heal them, just as it’s His will to save them, this lays a solid foundation of faith, wherein the person can receive by faith, what the Lord has already provided by grace.

1. Can we determine the will of God by our experience only? Yes, or No. Why?

NO, THE WILL OF GOD IS DETERMINED BY SCRIPTURE ONLY! THE WILL OF GOD IS REVEALED IN THE WORD OF GOD. UNFORTUNATELY, MANY PEOPLE TAKE THE POSITION THAT IF I PRAY FOR HEALING AND GOD DOESN’T HEAL ME, THEN IT MUST NOT HAVE BEEN HIS WILL TO HEAL ME. HOWEVER,




MANY OF THOSE SAME PEOPLE WHO STATE THAT IT WANT GOD’S WILL TO HEAL THEM, WILL AT THE SAME TIME PURSUE THE BEST MEDICAL ASSITANCE POSSIBLE IN PURSUIT OF HEALING. THIS IS CLEARLY INCONSISTENT. I THESS 4:3 STATES THAT IT’S THE WILL OF GOD TO ABSTAIN FROM FORNICATION, I THESS 5:18 STATE THAT IT’S THE WILL OF GOD TO BE THANKFUL. THEREFORE, FOR THOSE THAT STATE WHEN

THEY PRAYED FOR HEALING, AND DIDN’T RECEIVE IT, THEREFORE IT MUST NOT BE THE WILL OF GOD, IN ORDER TO BE CONSISTENT THEY MUST ALSO AFFIRM THAT ITS NOT ALWAYS THE WILL OF GOD FOR PEOPLE TO ABSTAIN FROM FORNICATION, OR TO WALK IN THANKFULNESS. WHY? BECAUSE THERE ARE MULTITUDES OF PEOPLE WHO CONSIDER THEMSELVES CHRISTIANS, AND DO NOT ABSTAIN FROM FORNICATION OR WALK IN THANKFULNESS. WE CAN ONLY DETERMINE THE WILL OF GOD BY THE WORD OF GOD. OUR LIFE EXPERIENCES CAN CERTAINLY CONFIRM WHAT IS REVEALED IN THE WORD OF GOD, BUT AT ANY TIME IF OUR EXPERIENCE IS NOT MATCHING UP WITH THE WORD THEN WE MUST SEEK TO ALIGN OURSELVES WITH THE ETERNAL WORD OF GOD.

ADDITIONALLY, FOR THE PERSON THAT PRAYS FOR HEALING AND DOESN’T RECEIVE, AND FORMULATES THE STANCE THAT IT WASN’T GOD’S WILL, THIS IS AN EXTREMELY PASSIVE STANCE, THAT TAKES THE RESPONSIBILITY OUT OF THE PERSON’S HANDS AND PUTS THE BLAME ON THE LORD. INSTEAD THIS PERSON SHOULD SEARCH THE SCRIPTURES, AND BY DOING THAT THEY WILL SEE THAT JESUS BORE THEIR SICKNESSES ON THE CROSS (ISA 53:4, MATT 8:16-17), AND JUST AS JESUS HEALED WHEN HE WAS HERE ON EARTH, HE DESIRES TO DO THE SAME TODAY. KNOWING THE WILL OF GOD IN THIS AREA WILL BUILD CONFIDENCE IN THE PERSON, AND HELP THEM TO RECEIVE FROM THE LORD, WHAT HE HAS PURCHASED ON THE CROSS! “NEVER LOWER THE STANDARD OF SCRIPTURE TO OUR EXPERIENCE, WE ALLOW THE SCRIPTURE TO BECOME OUR EXPERIENCE”

2. Wherefore be ye not _UNWISE__, but _ UNDERSTANDING ___ what the __ WILL __ of the Lord is. [Read Eph 5:15-17]

A person who does not know the will of God is unwise. Being unwise or foolish can cause you to die before your time (Ecc 7:17). The Lord deeply desires for us to know what His will is, by searching the Word of God. (Prov 4:10, Prov 3:1-4). JESUS is perfect

The phrase “you are what you eat” rings true. The Lord has designed our bodies to heal themselves. However, when our bodies do not receive specific nutrients, our immune system is weakened, making us more susceptible to all types of chronic diseases. There are many documented cases where individuals have been healed of some of the most aggressive cancers, simply by changing their diet (Gerson.org). This natural principle holds true in the spirit realm as well. We are spiritual beings with a physical body, and spirit beings need spirit food (John 6:63). Just as natural food nourishes and heals our body, so does the word of God nourish and heal the whole man spirit, soul, & body!

7. Since God’s Word is for _EVERYONE__, and His Word is _MEDICINE__ to all our _FLESH__, that means that it’s God’s Will to Heal _ALL_ (Prov 4:1-10, Prov 3:1-4, John 1:1, 14)

a. Therefore, saying it’s not God’s will to heal everyone, is just like saying God’s word is not for everyone

Some people have the notion that it’s not God’s will to heal them. However, while they may make this confession they pursue all that medical science has to offer to help alleviate their sickness. This is contradictory. Suppose a person who believed it was not God’s will to heal them, got a hold of God’s word, and began to read, meditate, and confess the word of God, the word would be medicine to all of their flesh, and healing would result because the word of God cannot return void,

it will accomplish the will of the Lord! (Isa 55:10-11)

8. He sent out his word and healed them, _SNATCHING_ them from the door of _DEATH_. (Psa 107:20 NLT)

Extra Notes

No matter what door of death one may be at, whether it is diabetes, high blood pressure, cancer, tumor, blindness, an addiction, the Word is more powerful and is able to snatch and deliver from the door of death.

9. Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear. (Heb 11:3)

Extra NotesThe purpose of this is not to condemn anyone who is taking man’s medicine, but simply to illustrate that God’s medicine, is far superior, and that we all should strive to pursue the word of God first. The word of God does not speak against doctors or taking man’s medicine at all (Luke 8:43-48), the word of God just speaks against having an unhealthy dependence on anyone or anything else but God (Jer 17:5, Psa 20:7). If a person is currently taking medicine, we are not stating to throw away your medicine, but simply to begin daily confessing and professing the word of God, and it won’t be long before you will no longer need to take man’s medicine.

2. Eye, Mouth, Ear Gate PrincipleMy son, attend to my words; incline thine _EAR___ unto my sayings.21 Let them not depart from thine _EYES__; keep them in the midst of thine heart. 22 For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh. (Pro 4:20-22)

This book of the law shall not depart out of thy _MOUTH__; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. (Joshua 1:8)

Extra Notes

Prov 4:23 instructs us to guard our heart will all diligence. We can guard our hearts by protecting what we allow our ears to listen to, and our eyes to look upon. When we set our eyes and ears on the word then the word will be hidden in our heart (Psa 119:11), and the mouth will declare that which has been sown into the heart (Luke 6:45)!

3. So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. (Rom 10:17). So Faith cometh by __HEARING __, __HEARING__, and _HEARING__ the Word of God. (Rom 10:17, PR version)

Extra NotesWe must never allow the word of God to become familiar to us. Hearing the word once is never enough, it must be planted deep within our hearts and be watered over and over again. The word should be read, studied, and meditated on day and night, the word is what should occupy our mind all the day long. This is how we keep our mind stayed on the Lord (Isa 26:3).




4. What’s in your Garden? The Word of God is _SEED_, that is planted in the soil of our __HEART__ (Luke 8:11)

Just as it is the nature of an apple seed to bring forth apples, an orange seed, to bring forth oranges, it is the nature of the word of God to bring forth the image, character, and nature of JESUS Christ (Rom 8:29, II Cor 3:18). Whatever is planted will come forth, so if negative seeds are planted negative results will manifest and we eat the fruit of the negative results (Prov 18:21).

5. You have been born anew, not from perishable but from _IMPERISHABLE__ _SEED__, through the living and enduring word of God. (I Peter 1:23 NET)

6. The word of God is what heals, and the healing power is released through the _TONGUE__

James 3 informs us on the importance of the tongue, even though our tongue is a little member, it will guide the direction that our life goes in. The tongue carries tremendous authority, death and life are created from the tongue. In Matt 8, the roman centurion understood the authority that Jesus had, and he asked Him to “speak the word only” and he knew that his servant would be healed.

Extra NotesWe hide the word in our heart (Psa 119:11, Prov 4:20) – Then, out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks (Luke 6:45) – Finally, when speaking the word Prov 12:18 states that the “tongue of the wise brings health”, speaking the word will bring health, life, and strength. 8. When attacked by pain or symptoms the devil is not primarily after your body, he is after your _MIND__ & __TONGUE __

Extra Notes The enemy wants to defeat us in our mind. However, the only way he can do that is by getting our mind off the word of God. It’s impossible to remain depressed or defeated in our mind, while our thoughts are continually on the word of God. Extra Notes

A broken spirit is one that is filled with worry, anxiety, fear. It’s a biological fact that blood is produced from within human bone marrow, so unhealthy bone marrow, will produce unhealthy blood, and will lead to all types of sicknesses and diseases. We can have a merry heart by singing psalms (James 5:13), also by getting into the presence of God (Psalms 16:11), this will bring life, and joy and will be like medicine to our bodies.

By keeping or guarding or tongue we keep our life! Prov 13:3 states “He that keepeth his mouth keepeth his life: but he that openeth wide his lips shall have destruction.” Those who guard their lips preserve their lives, but those who speak rashly will come to ruin. (NIV)

Our faith can also be likened unto a muscle, the more we use it and exercise it the stronger it gets. This is why its key to exercise our faith and command healing




anytime a headache, backache, or cold virus arises. If we don’t do this then we can miss out on important faith building opportunities that can make us more effective for the kingdom of God!

Personal; utilizing 1st person singular. Declare the word stating “I”, not “you” or “they”Positive; If a person desired to stop smoking, they wouldn’t say “I will not smoke anymore” they would declare “I am a non-smoker”. Many times whether intentionally or unintentionally we make negative confessions about ourselves stating “I can’t, or I will always be this way, this is just how I

am”. That’s just like opening up the bible and confessing that you will fulfill all the works of the flesh. Our confession needs to line up with the word, declaring that I walk in the fruit of the spirit. Present Tense; The declaration needs to be stated as if you already possess what you are believing God for. This is how the kingdom works. For example, when we pray we need to already believe that we have received what we pray for, and then we shall have (Mark 11:24). Joel 3:10 states “let the weak say I am strong”. Therefore, when declaring the word, you would not say “I will be strong” you would state “I am strong”. You would confess it, as if you already possess it!
