TRUE DUAL SCALE WRENCH. The Pursuit of Accuracy and PrecisionAt Mountz our purpose is to make the world safer through accuracy and precision and at MountzPro our

us, this lead us to the pursuit of the True Dual Scale Torque Wrench.

Since we are sticklers for precision, our President challenged us to create a REAL or TRUE Dual scale

torque wrench. Why? Because ALL other mechanical torque wrench on the market are NOT usable dual

scale tools.

We surveyed and talked to customers who felt they could use their dual scale torque wrenches accurately

in the secondary measurement scale. We showed them they could not. Many were surprised and even

angry that they were sold a tool that was not usable in the both scales.

Different sides of the same Craftsman torque wrench: If the brake caliper bolts are supposed to be torqued to 40-NM, I can’t dial the tool to “40” - I have to dial it to the major division of “37.3” then interpolate to dial up “2.7” on the minor division. No big deal, but if the wrench was natively calibrated to NM, you wouldn’t have to go through this rigmarole. ”

TRUE DUAL SCALE WRENCH.

The MountzPro wrench is a True Dual Scale Wrench. It not only has two scales of measurement,

it is also calibrated in both scales. This is accomplished by the use of a patented torque

adjustment system that gives the ability to accurately set the MountzPro True Dual Scale

Torque wrench in either scale easily and independently.

When is a Dual Scale Wrench not a True Dual Scale?

Whether it is a window based scale or body scale torque wrench, other wrench manufacturers

may state their wrench is a dual scale tool, however these tools are not a “True Dual

Scale Wrench”. Why? Because other “dual scale wrenches” are calibrated in one unit of

measurement, the primary-scale. The other unit of measurement is only a reference. Trying

to set a tool in a unit of measurement that is not the primary scale can be difficult and not

accurate. However, because both scales are independent, the wrench is calibrated and

certified in both units of measurements. No math, no conversions, no problem!

Using a torque wrench on every wheel that comes off the car equals zero comebacks. Some torque wrenches, like the MountzPRO, have both metric and standard measurements to make quicker for the technician to tighten the fasteners without using a conversion chart. This tool is great. The scale windows and the adjustment mechanism makes it very easy to set or read the right torque that I need and as I get older this a plus.

TRUE DUAL SCALE WRENCH.Setting the True Dual Scale Torque Wrench.

Setting the MP150F to 73 lbf.ft (for example)

is fast and easy. Pull out the torque

adjustment knob and turn the knob until 70

is reached on the black side of the window

scale. Now continue to adjust the knob until

3 is reached in the micrometer window. Push

in the torque adjustment knob to lock the

torque and that’s it. The process for setting

the tool in Newton Meters is identical except

the red scales are used. The patented gear

mechanism allows for both scales to be set

quickly and independently.
