Undergraduate Admissions: college admission that leads to a Bachelor’s
degree upon completion (usually takes 4 years)
Alternative Admissions: ways to gain admission into college for students
who do not meet the initial criteria; may have to submit recommendation
letters, personal statements, etc.
First generation: the first student in your immediate family to attend college
Early Action: Non-binding; early notification of admission
Early Decision: Binding contract for one school
Priority Deadline: Apply by an early deadline to get a quicker admission
decision
