There is no fee and it is well worth the time to meet with a Mortgage Professional to understand what option best fits your goals,” advised Richard Green of MIDFLORIDA Credit Union.

3. Down Payment Rumors – Do not automatically write off owning a home because of the down payment. There are down payment assistance programs available that may be used to facilitate the home buying process. Mortgages are now available with a wide range of down payment requirements, some as low as 3.5%. Buyers eligible for VA financing may be able to purchase with no money down.
