I want to thank all parents who were able to come in to meet with

teachers last week during our PTS Conferences. This is such an

important time spent together sharing progress and challenges

our students face. When students know their parents care enough to come to school and meet with teachers it sends a clear

message to students about family and what it means to grow as a

student.

We are a week away from the end of the third quarter. I want to remind parents that report cards will be coming home with

students on April 12th. Parents are asked to sign and return the

envelopes to your child’s teacher.

Our spring break will run from March 29-April 3 with students being dismissed on Wednesday, March 28th at our regular time

and school will resume on Wednesday, April 4.

Our PTO is again organizing our PTO Chicken Que Ticket Sale.

Our Chicken Que will be held on Thursday, May 3rd from 4-7:00.

This is our largest fundraiser of the year and allows us to fund many field trips, playground equipment, and other items each

year. On Wednesday, April 4th students will be bringing home

permission slips for this year’s sale. Directions for this year’s

fundraiser will be attached. Any student who wishes to get tickets to sell must have signed parent permission. We are asking that

permission slips come back by April 9th. The sale will run from

April 12th –April 26th. All money collected and unsold tickets

need to be returned to the PTO by 8:00 AM on Thursday, April 26th to be considered for prizes. It is optional for students to

participate but we do appreciate families who are able to sell

tickets to assist with this major fundraiser.

I want to remind parents that there is no supervision for students who are dropped off at school prior to 7:45 each morning. I ask

these parents to please make other arrangements or to stay with

students outside until the school opens at 7:45.

and Norah S-5R. Keep up the great job creating and inspiring others.

Congratulations to Gavin Kreiling, Mariana Rojo and Karlee Rector. Their art work was

selected to be on display at the State Captital in Madison for Youth Art Month in our

schools. What a great honor and accomplishment. Please congratulate them on this won-

derful opportunity.

Summit Environmental School Presents:

Youth Art Month 2018

Summit student’s art work will be on display at the French Island

Campbell Library from March 2nd - April 6th, 2018. An artist reception

will be held on April 5th from 3:30-5:30 pm. All Summit students who

visit the Campbell Library and the Youth Art Month show will receive

free Shenanigan bucks.

STUDENT HEALTH GUIDELINES

When should your child stay home because of illness?

FEVER: greater than 100 degrees.

VOMITING: return 24 hours after vomiting

DIARRHEA: return 24 hours after diarrhea

RASH: rash that is open and draining or a rash with a fever

STREP THROAT, IMPETIGO, PINK EYE: return after 24 hours of treatment with antibiotic

SCABIES, RINGWORM: must be treated before returning to school

CHICKEN POX: child may return to school 5-7 days after onset of rash, with all sores dry and scabbed over

Please notify your child’s school by 9am if your child is absent due to illness or injury.

If your child has a serious illness or injury that affects school participation, please notify your school principal or school nurse so a plan can be implemented to meet your child’s needs.
