BARCELONA BRIDAL NIGHT
The guest of honour of this year’s Barcelona Bridal Night is
designer Reem Acra, who will present her designs for Spring 2019
for the first time in Europe at the Salón Marqués de Comillas in the
Barcelona Maritime Museum.

ready to wear line in 2010. Since then, royalty, heads of state and
celebrities such as Angelina Jolie, Beyoncé and Halle Berry have
worn her designs on red carpets at the Oscars, the Grammys and
the Golden Globes. Her carefully crafted creations can be seen at
some of the most prestigious stores around the world, and now
also at BBFW18.
The essence of BBFW18 travels beyond the showroom doors, to paint Barcelona with a night of glamour, beauty and exclusivity.
““I’m very excited to show my Spring 2019 Bridal collection at an event like

NEW TALENTAlejandro Resta“Spring is here! Mermaid silhouettes, diaphanous fabrics
and a range of fresh prints are the stars of this season
of blooms.” Valencian designer Alejandro Resta presents
his new collection “Azaleas”, comprised of eight ready to
wear and haute couture bridal and ceremony dresses. The
main fabrics are chiffon, organza, tulle, crepe and silk, with
appliqués of crystals, sequins and diamonds. The fantastic
palette of colours combines pinks, yellows, blues, nudes,
whites and lilacs with hints of green.
Laura RieraFor this collection, designer Laura Riera took inspiration
from the motorbike club Motor Maids Inc, from the famous
and seductive Dita Von Teese, and the world of burlesque.
She has sought to achieve a spectacular design, with a
seductive touch, yet still comfortable and unconventional.
To do this, she has used fabrics that are rarely used in
the bridal world, such as leather, cotton and 3D fabrics,
while also retaining classic delicate fabrics such as silk and
tulle. With this collection you’ll find every look you need to
travel Route 66 on a motorbike. Feel the rebelliousness of
the bikers with the delicacy of haute couture.
Mar RodríguezPresenting the collection “Angels on Earth” - angelic and
romantic, sensual and elegant, minimalist with clean lines.
Mix-and-match pieces and sets, made with Chantilly lace,
corded lace, silky tulle and Swiss dot tulle with different
edgings, as well as peau d’ange, crepe and sequins. The
closure is a fusion of fashion, painting and sculpture, the
result of the designer’s collaboration with painter Manu
Algueró, winner of the Global Art Award at the Armani
Hotel in Dubai.
Simone MarulliSimone Marulli continues her journey through emotions,
rediscovering the Risorgimento (Renaissance) Age, its
traditions and convictions, the culture, the style and,
above all, the clothes. In “Chapter #FIVE”, the bride
balances tradition and innovation, and combines a strong
sense of self with a belief in the value of the romance of
her dreams. All the fabrics are made in Italy, with lace
macramé combined with tulle and the fluidity of silky
satin. The focus lies in precise and sharp lines, combined
with the designer’s characteristic asymmetries.
BBFW18 is committed to innovation and new talent, supporting the presentation of collections from four emerging designers who will be setting the trends.

Jesús Peiró“Heritage” CollectionIn 2018, Jesús Peiró celebrates its 30th anniversary. The collection stems from the very spirit of the house, hence its name “Heritage”. The firm’s designer Merche Segarra flirts with the house’s history and takes another look at its values: halter necklines, lightness, bows and combinations of fabrics, which have been brought up to date with an eye to key fashions.
24/04 - 13:30
Cristina Tamborero“Hanami” CollectionThe Japanese tradition of Hanami is the inspiration of Cristina Tamborero for her new 2018 bridal collection. Designed for delicate and romantic women who want wear a dress that is unique and full of details.
24/04 - 15:30
Jordi Dalmau“Emotions” Collection“You can ask someone to do something or stop doing it, but you can never ask them to feel or stop feeling an emotion.” This is the inspiration on which the firm’s new 2019 collection is based. On this 10th anniversary, Jordi Dalmau has infused each of his designs with the emotions that accompanied him on this journey. A very varied collection: feminine, sensual, and filled with the emotions of today’s women.

Rosa Clará The new collection from Rosa Clará presents designs full of exquisite details in delicate and flowing fabrics, to dress the bride of today in the romanticism and elegance of her dreams. #26 #27
25/04 - 18:30
Inmaculada García “Ix Chel” CollectionMayan mythology has left a wealth of legends. The goddess Ix Chel, who embodies the idea of women as sustaining life and has been represented in the symbol of a young woman spinning and weaving, is the base inspiration of this collection. It reclaims the essence of the bride dresses with more personalised dresses in clean designs. Some are more classic, with simplicity in the pattern, subtle and elegant.
25/04 - 21:00
Reem Acra - Barcelona Bridal Night“The Prophet” CollectionThe collection is inspired by the book The Prophet by Kahlil Gibran, whose words and wisdom so perfectly describe love and marriage. Through these dresses, the designer has conveyed the poetry of love, that magical and mystical emotion, so difficult to put into words.
26/04 - 10:30
Marylise & Rembo Styling“Rembo Styling 2019” CollectionRembo Styling breathes fashion and takes risks. A tailor-made style for the Rembo bride, young and spontaneous, who follows fashion closely and wants to be surprised by something new. The bohemian style remains, but it moves away from the more folky style. Fabrics fall softly, with gorgeous detailing at the back. Designs grow stronger and more graphic. The predominant tone is creamy white, but there is also colour - dragée, with a tone midway between nude and pink.
26/04 - 12:00
Isabel Zapardiez“TOUCHÉ - Straight to the heart” CollectionA blade cuts through the air, seeking and feeling. A hand sheathed in a glove guides it firmly. The blade advances forward, guided by the handle, reaches its opponent and… TOUCHÉ! Both hearts reach their goal. Isabel Zapardiez has taken inspiration from the art of fencing and the symbolism that surrounds it to create a collection full of sophistication and mystery, with a wealth of aesthetics.
26/04 - 12:00
Ana Torres “Caresses” CollectionFor Spring-Summer 2019, Ana Torres presents a collection of wedding dresses which exude a harmonious delicacy and tenderness, romantic and sophisticated pieces, with sweet and wispy pleats, Swiss dot tulle and subtle devoreh in shades of blue, lavender, wisteria and grey featuring delicate patterns, appliqués and jewelled edges. In contrast, we can also see more daring lines with sensual asymmetries.
26/04 - 15:30
Cymbeline “Paris Forever” Collection“Paris Forever” is the motto of Cymbeline’s 2019 collection, which is presented as a walk through the iconic districts of Paris. Saint-Germain-des-Pres and its nonchalance and freshness, the glamorous Moulin Rouge, or Montmartre and its artists. Unique materials crafted by artisans in studios who work for major fashion brands the world over. The hidden secrets of these artisans produce the most wonderful pieces.
26/04 - 17:00
Marco & MariaMarco Marrera and María Díaz have always had as their motto the creation of poetic stories. This collection is inspired by the end of the summer, when nature begins to slumber with the hope of returning again. The calm of winter will be reflected in subtle dresses of tulle, ranging from pearl to champagne, undefinable colours that remain in the memory fuelled by emotions.
25/04 - 17:00
Isabel SanchisThe collection reflects the union of the present and the future, of artisanal techniques such as hand-stitching with metallic or plastic fabrics in geometric forms. This is a collection with feeling, in which each dress has its own history. It calls for a free world, with silhouettes in the form of birds and butterflies, a peaceful world without conflicts represented in the embroidery. This is a strong collection dedicated to the women of the future.
#28 #29
26/04 - 18:30
Esther Noriega“Sanger” Collection“Watching the sunset, I became lost in its colours, the magical tones that surrounded me, the golden rays of the sun that made my mind drift to thoughts of Sanger champagne.” That is how the designer describes “Sanger”. Colours of a sunset that embellish the collection, full of decisive and intense tones such as yellow, gold, different shades of pink, mint green, coral, magenta, purple and midnight blue.
26/04 - 20:30
YolanCris“#IDENTITY” CollectionThe #IDENTITY collection takes a look at some of the greatest fashion icons of all time. Women who felt free to dress as they wanted, and whose personal style integrated seamlessly into their way of living. Those who know that appearance isn’t everything, but rather the choice one makes to create a personal aesthetic as an extension of themselves.
27/04 - 10:30
Maggie Sottero“Lucienne” CollectionThe Ariya Collection by Sottero and Midgley offers glamorous and risky models for the most modern fashionista. The stand-outs are gleaming fabrics in curved silhouettes, unique and stunning detailing, accompanied by a new selection of accessories. Extraordinary models to inspire mischievous behaviour. An extraordinary wedding gown appeals to those wild and romantic instincts. Therein lies its charm.
27/04 - 11:30
Ramon Sanjurjo“Romance” CollectionThe 2019 “Romance” Collection is inspired by the 1920s, the era of glamour and jazz in New York, with contemporary touches to some details that reinterpret the Gilded Age. As is to be expected, the firm has focused on that one great character of that era, both for his idealistic love as well as his elegant style: the Great Gatsby.
27/04 - 13:00
Carla Ruiz“Oceans” CollectionUsing the natural life of the sea as an inexhaustible source of inspiration has resulted in a collection in which evanescent silhouettes sculpted with chiffon, brocade and organza, with other more curved silhouettes with draped silks, lace dotted with feathers and rich embroidery with paillettes, evoking the magic of the oceans. When walking, the movement and overlap of the various fabrics simulate the movement of fish.
27/04 - 16:00
Sonia Peña “Studio 54” CollectionInspired by the flashes of light of disco music and the jet set of the 1970s, all the new designs from this collection radiate the brightness, colour and energy of New York. The plasticity of the fabrics, the lace, the fringes and the romantic floral prints are mixed with the sensuality of daring feathers and transparencies. Perfect designs for any special occasion.
27/04 - 17:30
DemetriosLightweight but resplendent. Extravagant but ethereal. The new collection from Demetrios is made up of opposing essences, intertwined with timeless style and good taste. Equally influenced both by the fashions of Versailles and those of the New Look, the dresses emanate an unmistakeably French aura that combines the romance of the old world with the passion of the new era.
26/04 - 18:30
Matilde CanoThe new collection takes to the catwalk in a regal mood. Full of light with impeccable designs in noble materials that flirt with the reinvention of ideas of Medieval beauty. The designer has put forward a creative proposal in which the woman, bursting with sensuality, is dressed for a special occasion without sacrificing her daily sense of style, nor losing the elegance of that period.
